Well, my first journey completed and no real issue with the gearing yet. Only way to find out I’d say is to get behind the wheel.
Don’t want to fill this forum with Cayman stuff but it’s worked for me. The Emira will also be awesome and look forward to seeing more of them on the roads “soon”…….
Cayman 981S with high spec, sports exhaust, Porsche warranty and just 14,000 miles for £42k. So, 90%ish of what I was seeking from the Emira for half the price 😊
I am one of those that has decided to go down another route for my mid-engined, 6 cylinder, manual transmission fix but just wanted to give my experience of the Lotus refund service.
Within two weeks of sending my email I have had the full £5K returned, a different experience to others.

Well, today I decided to cancel, after much deliberation and for a couple of reasons, my Emira which was due for delivery in March and to take the deposit refund. I did consider joining the ranks of the "flippers" but it wasn't a straightforward way to go and had inherent risk.
Hopefully, the...
Everything I've read and watched indicates how well liked they are by everyone who has had or driven one. I was looking at the GTS but they are incredibly hard to find with the right spec so have settled with the S but one with all the right options and low mileage.
After much deliberation I've concluded that, despite being an early depositor (7th July 2021), and a promise of a Feb build/March delivery, I am going to withdraw for a number of reasons. The same applies to my order for a Cayman GTS 4.0 that I have had running alongside to hedge my bets.
Both...
My deposit was also 7th July 21.
It doesn't particularly bother me having the car in March as opposed to January but surprised that the shift has come so late into December with, realistically, just 8 working days to go. Makes me wonder how many will be delivered between now and March...
Just received an update on what was meant to be December build/January delivery :-

Unfortunately we have fallen behind ever so slightly with production and the latest information shows that your Production will begin in February with a March delivery.
This does mean the vehicle will be...
I have Homelink and tracker in my spec with, like you, an October build now - moved from the last advised build month of August! Deposit on the morning of 7th July. Manual, alcantara interior and steering wheel.
Does anyone else have any issue with the door handle mechanism? Just seems awkward and likely to catch fingers….. still, certainly not bad enough for me to cancel😂
Has this delay been confirmed from Lotus? I asked a month back to switch from silver to DC but was told that it wasn’t possible without introducing a long delay☹️
Hopefully, as a 7th July pre-FOS deposit holder, I might get some update this week………..
Good to see these and to confirm my choice of Nimbus/black pack/privacy looks good. Main difference is I’ve gone for silver wheels but have been unable to change to the diamond cut without incurring a further delay……
Are there any pictures of silver wheels out there?
having seen photos of the diamond cut wheels on the Melbourne car I tried to change wheels for my July delivery but got this message back :-
“I have queried your wheel change with factory. I regret to inform you proceeding with the change would result in delay to delivery to 2023. I apologise...
Same spec as I've opted for and for the same reason....... Going black alcantara upholstery and steering wheel with silver wheels:cool: Bring on July!!
I'm down in Swansea and have confirmed delivery of Nimbus Grey V6FE Manual scheduled for June on the back of July 7th deposit - be good to catch up at some point with anybody else visiting or living in the area.
If anybody wants to see the car when it arrives I'd be happy to oblige!
