I could see me not buying a new “normal” car again to be honest, even an ICE powered one. I think my little Fiesta ST which is coming up to three years old will be a keeper for daily duties; even if I decide to opt into the company car scheme at some point I’d most likely keep it.

I agree, I had actually thought about nominating the Vantage! They’re a lovely looking car, just “right” from any angle as you say but I particularly like the rear. They can be picked up fairly cheaply in the UK, my Mrs is rather keen on them as well…. Hmmm…. :unsure:

I posted my thoughts in another thread, but I’m a manual guy through and through (or so I thought!). The Emira i4 though is too good to overlook in my opinion, it’s a great package. I’m very happy with mine and it’s “only” the 360bhp version!

The part in bold is what I was getting at upthread when I mentioned the MC20. I really like the look of most supercars to be honest, but things like the Aventador aren’t beautiful in my opinion. It’s extremely impressive to look at, but in an aggressive, purposeful way as you say.

In terms of modern cars I agree (coupe or cielo, they’re both stunning). The styling isn’t overly aggressive and has a slightly feminine look which makes it genuinely beautiful to me.

Following my previous post, and seeing as this is a photo thread…. Fiesta ST200: Late MK8 Fiesta ST alongside it’s predecessor (Fiesta ST Performance Edition): MK3 Focus RS: And last but not least: That’s my current collection of (intact and drivable!) cars.

I’d say the same about our two Fiesta STs. Ones a MK7 ST200 (I’m not sure if you got those in the US?) and the other is a very late MK8 3dr. They’re a lot of fun to drive and actually quite capable if you drive them seriously (as opposed to throwing them around!).

Mine’s an I4 so 3 is non applicable, but I don’t have 1 or 2 either.

Valid points. In the UK we have an issue with e-bikes spontaneously combusting inside people’s homes. I suspect the batteries are far poorer quality than those usually found in a car, but there’s an inherent risk regardless.

I totally get it, especially in a market where manuals are the exception. I’ve always said I’d rather take a hit on the 0-60 time and retain the driver involvement you get with a manual. On this occasion though I felt the I4 was too compelling a package to overlook.

I started a thread recently about some not-so-pleasant sound effects I’d noticed when driving my I4. I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just mechanical noise as a result of the engine etc. being right behind your head, as per the replies above.
