So Cal PPF installers and customer experiences

PFS definitely does paint correction and depending on the level needed (L1, L2, L3), it could cost more. My car was in pretty good shape they told me so it only received Level 1 (basic) correction, which was included in their orginal full PPF quote to me.

So Cal PPF installers and customer experiences

Yep, exactly. Per guidance I received from PFS directly, I told Eurocar no paint prep/buffing/polishing of any sort. It may have been washed as was pretty clean when I picked it up. I think that’s ok because a completely unwashed car may be harder to spot any issues at delivery. Drove it home a...

    Emira weight distribution

I guess you’re right but I’ve never felt a 6 speed manual as tight as the Emira in any truck I’ve ever driven. I suppose linkage plays a big part in that. What truck?

    Emira weight distribution

Sorry you’re right, “normal” in my brain was it was longitudinally mounted and rear wheel drive in the Camry. Just Google’d it and yea, duh, it’s transverse and front wheel drive so I guess a similar config for the Evora/Emira. My bad.

    Emira weight distribution

Thanks for that explanation, as I’ve been wondering how a transverse engine actually connects with the wheels. So if I understand correctly, the engine itself can be basically as it is from Toyota (out of a Camry) but it seems the transmission would have to be either full custom or a...

    Will you buy one today?

Whoa these stores are sooo funny and familiar! 20 years ago when the object of my car obsession was the Elise S2 my wife said to me “I’m so sick of hearing you go on about this car just go buy it already”. After picking myself up off the floor I wondered if I had really heard those words. But at...

Seneca Blue Lotus Emira Photo Thread

Curious as to why you chose black PPF on black rather than clear PPF. Is there a difference in the look or the wear (or something else)?

Seneca Blue Lotus Emira Photo Thread

It's a tough one for sure. This side by side may help. For me, once I saw both of them in person, I loved the paint color and metallic so much, I decided I wanted to see as much of it as possible, on the roof AND on the side mirrors. From inside the car, the only color you can see normally is a...

What car is more beautiful than an Emira?

I absolutely fell in love with the S1, mostly for its curvy baby Dino looks. But I do believe next to the angular S2, it just looks “cute” as opposed to the more aggressively styled S2. The S2 style didn’t appeal to me right away but grew on me and now I like both for slightly different reasons...

What car is more beautiful than an Emira?

Agreed! Which is why I almost bought this car when I knew I couldn’t afford a Dino and lost hope the Elise would ever come to our shores. Even mimics the curved rear window of the Dino.

    Emira weight distribution

Thanks for that support! It actually got me thinking about other transverse mid engine cars that I know of and looking for pics. First one was the V6 Fiero (yes, it seems slightly to the right). Next was the massive V12 in the Miura. Just CRAZY that this engine is transverse, but yes, from the...

    Emira weight distribution

Ok, so after I wrote my rant (sometimes putting into words gets the brain working more) I thought about the trans. But it wasn't obvious to me that the trans is that heavy relative to the engine that it could provide that much counter balance. But I guess it does make sense now thinking about...

    Emira weight distribution

Ok, to preface this noob of the century question I recall the following saying “Better to stay silent and be thought the fool than to speak and remove all doubt.” But after much thought and many Google searches that have come up naught, I’m throwing caution to the wind here. On weight...

What car is more beautiful than an Emira?

There’s definitely this! Also, there’s lots of cars that I like that I wouldn’t categorize as “beautiful.” For instance one member posted the original NSX and while obviously significant in the car universe I’ve never been a fan of its looks. Similarly some cars that I find outstanding have...

What car is more beautiful than an Emira?

Exactly! The sexy flowing wheel arches and side profile are what drew me to the Dino, and then the Elise, and now the Emira, which executed on this so much better than its predecessor IMO. I was never drawn to the Evora’s shape but was stunned and knocked out when I first set eyes on the Emira.

What car is more beautiful than an Emira?

After @VL3X's pic of the Miura which is #1 for me, the next one has to be the Dino. Have followed after and dreamed of this car ever since I saw my first one at the Santa Barbara Concours d'Elegance many many years ago. I unloaded a whole roll of film (yes it was that long ago) on just one I...

What did you do to your Emira today?

Thanks for the insight here. Curious if you track your car? And if so, if you have an opinion as to whether this would be as much of an issue on a non-tracked car, insofar as the heat buildup and fluid situation?

Recommendations for clutch fluid replacement interval

A member on a FB forum is recommending annual replacement of the clutch fluid. Would like to get input on this from this forum. His post: “ I had maintenance work done on the Emira. It is almost 1 year old with 4200 miles. On the Clutch bleed, I was told by an evora now emira owner to do this...

Lotus introduces Emira V6 SE and Emira Turbo - showroom debut in September 2025.

So how did this work, since this isn't on any configurator I've seen? Were you able to pick all your other options as normal and just add the additional $$ for deep green to the config?

Lotus introduces Emira V6 SE and Emira Turbo - showroom debut in September 2025.

Nice to see the new colors finally, and agree that some of the ADAS features would be nice to have, especially rear cross traffic and blind spot monitoring. Disappointed and a bit surprised that orange has not shown up yet. This is from another thread I know, but has anyone seen any of these...

Spotted: Emiras seen in the wild

It wasn’t me this time but I was there in April! We had another Seneca at the Julian event in April, his with full black pack. Don’t remember his name (maybe Josh?) but got the impression he’s not very active on the forum. Did the car you see have a black roof?
