Where are you terminating the USB to on the last pic? I am opting to do an arm mount with a magsafe charger, which will work pretty easily with no modifications to the car. Will start another thread when I get the car and have it setup.

My car is at the dealer - pickup on Tuesday.

A week or so ago I think - my dealer was delayed it sending it to me, but the car was in Baltimore on the 12th and unloaded. Just got on the transport a few days ago, so it's making its way to the dealer now.

Well apparently I'm getting my car next week... fingers crossed! It's en-route to the dealer now via transport, so if I'm super lucky it's Saturday, otherwise probably Monday/Tuesday.

Paint prep on a new car is pretty normal since there's orange peel even with the best of finishes. Ferraris, Lambos, etc all tend to have it. Ironically the BMWs and Mercedes who are better at larger scale manufacturing tend not to. Go figure.

Quick update RE Lotus of Dallas -- got a hold of Tony who is my salesperson, and he said that the only fee required is the dealer prep fee of $1600, which includes a full paint prep before delivery. To me that's reasonable alongside all the other things they do. Pricey for just a paint prep but...

Not for me, this is on the edge of my budget and I think I'll be plenty happy. Plus it's my daily driver and I can't imagine having anything louder/less comfortable :)

With all the technical business I think I'll settle for the stock system until the warranty runs out, by then there will be some good upgrade options and a plethora of ideas around them.

I think this is a reasonable take -- and from the sounds of it, won't be very costly to upgrade or add weight! I'm eager to hear your ideas.

The entire Cambridge site is really designed for them to shoot a full length "upgrade" video to pimp out their YouTube channel. The quality you might get because of expensive ass components in the Emira is not going to be worth the upgrade. $10k, lol.

I just picked my color for sure. Vivid red it is.

Vivid red it is for me... with silver wheels, because I'm not a fan of the black ones everybody seems to get.

I would probably go with Vivid Red only because my first car was a similar color and it is a bit nostalgic to me. I wouldn't be upset with Magma, but to each their own! :)

The height -- it's just the time gravity would take to "hit" the seat. The side sill/edge didn't see much an issue to me.

So I did this -- or my best attempt at it -- it's a long drop to "plop" into the car. For an able-bodied person it's not much issue, but it's a low car. So the drop of gravity trying to get yourself into the seat is pretty far. That said, getting out is likely easier as you'll be using the A...

I'll be taking a second test drive in the Emira (V6/Manual/Sports Suspension) on Saturday at my local dealer. I have done a single drive, I have some more curiousity about a few things myself, but if anybody here has any -- then let me know what you'd like to see/know/etc. My other thoughts...

I think the thing to note for me, at least -- is that I didn't care about the power from a 0-60 perspective. I didn't redline the car when driving (wanted to be courteous to the drivers after me), and plus -- my real questions were the stability around corners, its handling, steering feedback...
