He loves the V6 and hates the i4 because of the slow downshift issue. I heard the i4 shifting problems were solved. Can any i4 owners confirm if the slow shift speed he's experiencing is accurate or if he's using an old model? He demonstrates at 21:50.

Oh wow, I had no idea they could tweak the profile that much, but it definitely makes sense. Makes me think of when a company will tweak an engine differently for a truck vs a car.

Great point and totally fair. Knowing all that I'd still be curious to hear people's experiences with the M139. I'd also be interested to hear the differences/similarities between the V6 in the Emira and other cars it's used in to set expectations accordingly.

This happened to me at Galpin. I just called and they fit me. I recommend showing up right when they open so you're ready in case someone's a no show. I was able to get a test drive this way.

Wanted to start a thread for old school photos of cars we've loved. Found this photo from 1999 of me in high school the day I brought home my '91 MR2 turbo. Loved that car to death. I'm obviously getting a yellow Emira ;-)
