Tons of water builds up in my doors after a good wash. I drain, and then put fans near the drain to further dry before going back into the garage. Have no idea if it’s helping , but it certainly doesn’t hurt.

Yeah, certainly the concern, but Burger said they would want “additional testing” to determine if that happened (specifically using 92 vs 93). In most cars the ecu would limit power slightly on lower octane to prevent knocking, but not sure if that’s the case with a tune.

I would love to see what happens on a map 3 dyno run with the lower 91 or 92 octane rating. Just a slight reduction in power, or something more dramatic with the overall power/torque curve?

Same. Bunch of hyperbole in here, and Lotus is an easy target with plenty of issues. I think we all know more refined/reliable cars exist. Few offer the same thrill and excitement though, so I guess your risk tolerance (and luck) will determine your experience.

Interesting for sure - could it be that your JB4 module isn't working properly? Your results are contradictory to what several dyno's have shown as a significant performance increase with the JB4 installed.

Has anyone tested MAP 2 with 91 or 92 octane? Would be nice if it worked without having to dump octane booster in the tank every fill up.

If you, "get tired of shifting during tail of the dragon" then the Emira is probably not the right car for you. First person I've heard say the 4 cylinder sounds better than the v6 too. I guess this is why we're given all these options - to each their own!

Greg, thanks for brining this product to the forum. I wouldn't have even known about it if it wasn't for your post. Personally, I've never had anything but positive experiences with @GRP if anyone is on the fence about this. I trust he wants to get them shipped just as fast as everyone wants...

Fair enough, and I tend to err on the side of caution, but will probably be in the second ship to the moon. (y) Either way, this is all pretty exciting for less than $1,000 you can fundamentally change the experience of this already awesome car.

Good to know this, and I hope you're right about the strengthened drivetrain on the Emira. Though, being a good driver won't prevent the transmission from being damaged if the engine is pumping out more torque than the gearbox can handle.

Well, until we know more for sure, I'll be sticking with the 91 map. Though the extra power/torque of the 93 map is very tempting.

Not sure what is real or not, but my understanding was the transmission was the source of concern with a tune like this, not the motor. I think in the back of my mind I would always worry a bit on those high RPM gear changes using the 93 map.

To add to this, the extra boost I assume produces extra heat. Would hate to add power only to create a heat soak issue. Does the increased boost also negatively impact the reliability of the supercharger and engine? This feels like a no brainer to buy, but want to understand the...

I always thought it was odd a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder was often cited as the better performance option, and likely to have easier power gains than a 3.5 liter V6. After looking at these dyno results , maybe it's not as hard to find power gains on the V6 than was initially thought? The old adage...

Or, conversely, what if you only wanted the 91 tune to be on the safer / more conservative side, but use 93 octane fuel? Would it automatically detect and change to the more aggressive 93 tune? I saw on the burgertuning website FAQ that it can "auto tune" but unclear if that can be turned off.

I had this problem pretty consistently for the first few months too. Now, and for the last ~6 months, I don't have it at all (knock on wood). I have done no software updates since delivery, and can point to no changes in driving habits. Who knows why this fixed itself, but I hope it stays...
