Not surprised at the outcome given that you preferred the Exige S2 (240) over all else before you taking this latest test drive. Power delivery aside, how did the Evora 400 compare with the Exige S240? Good that you found the Evora's gearshift good ("That gear shift!"), which I expect it will...

Lotus in the Peak 8-10 July Derbyshire - event thread

Indeed it has been with regards to car related events this year. I am okay, flu like symptoms only, so being responsible, and staying home this weekend. Was really looking forward to a proper Lotus gathering....until next time. Hope make it up at SIlverstone Classic (The Classic 2022), but not...

Lotus in the Peak 8-10 July Derbyshire - event thread

@TomE, all booked, and was all ready earlier this week, but a trip into the office last week (I suspect) has left me COVID positive. :( So, I am afraid I will not be attending....first Goodwood FoS, and now this event...hope my luck changes when the Emira arrives. Have fun, and look forward to...

Message from Matt Windle regarding Emira delays

According to Reuters, Toyota have just cut global production by 50,000 vehicles, so not surprised that those who Toyota themselves supply, and other suppliers that Lotus are dependent on, will also experience delays as a result of semiconductor (chip) shortages and other supply chain issues...

    Non Emira Goodwood photos

Now this is something I would love to do, and to an extent have started one off, but the costs of actually completing the project, getting it to the finish line and have it completed to the level that I want it done can, and will, cost a lot unless one is able to, and capable of, taking on most...

    Goodwood - updates and info

Thank you to @TomE and those of you who have been to Goodwood FoS and have posted your thoughts and feedback on the Emira, and insights of your experiences at the event. I do like what I have heard and seen so far, including the myriad of magazine (and YouTube) reviews... Really disappointed...

What to try on your new KEF audio....?

Classic driving tune from back in the day, and quite appropriate if you take delivery of your car in summer => The Heat is On by Glenn Frey Some of my other choices would be: Hotel California (1994 version) by Eagles (should test the low end. Most of their Hell Freezes Over album is enjoyable)...

To be fair to Lotus, did receive said email around 10:45 hrs today. This is a good start, and I hope we will continue to receive updates in a timely manner. (y)

    Perspective on reviews

Having taken my time to go through most of the published reviews, I must say that they are rather mixed at best, with Harry M's being the only positive review. IMO, if Lotus are still fine tuning the Emira, they may have avoided all this negative press had they waited until the production FE V6...

PPF & Ceramic coating. TDC marker on leather steering wheel to match interior stitching. Still pondering over whether or not to install a dashcam, but it needs to be obscure and out of the way.

Well, that wasn't a surprise - didn't think TG would release their review before the embargo was lifted. Looks like we will have to wait until Tuesday the 7th. So far we know Autocar, Harry M, Andrew F. and possibly many others will release their reviews on Tuesday...

Blast! Having purchased tickets for Shootout Sunday and Performance Car Park (West) for the 26th, I now cannot make it as we are double booked. I completely forgot that we had already had made plans with friends to attend an early afternoon performance at Hyde Park (by Eagles, Robert Plant &...

Yes, it is the new series - Sunday, 5th June, so I suspect the Emira should feature on 12th June due to the embargo that only lifts on the 7th. Of course, the features would have been filmed already, so the outcome will already be known to those involved. EDIT: I need to learn to type faster...:)

That is exactly what I was thinking...so, good to hear that there is likely to be a Plan B for those who are taking delivery in the first batch, you included. I had a similar issue with the GR Yaris. Mine was in the vary first batch, delivered to the UK on the same ship as dealer demo cars...

Can't wait to hear/read what Harry thinks about the Emira, followed by Chris H's and Dickie Meaden's thoughts on it - rather selfishly , I hope they will get to drive a V6 manual, and better still, both suspension set ups on Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres.

Lotus Emira releases full details on the Four-Cylinder including price and specs

Indeed....as a long-term owner of a Clio V6 255, and having heard tales from those who tried to bolt a turbo on to its NA 3.0-litre engine, and failing to manage the heat generated as a result, has made me quite vary of resorting to forced induction as a means of extracting more power from a...

    Just saw this
