I think you might be pleasantly surprised on how quickly you can cover ground in an Emira (especially on touring suspension) - I have nitrons on the exige, which are stiffer than std. I have 280hp, I followed an Elise SC with 220 and factory dampers on a very bumpy road, and he could get away...

I did :) there were a couple around as well as quite a few more with the black pack - I saw them parked next to each other. I personally don't like the black pack from the back and rear 3/4 of the car. The all yellow looked great to my eyes... I did waver when I saw Nimbus under the factory...

I saw a lot of Emiras yesterday…. Not once did I think the car looks anything other than stunning

Just so you know - I am November build - CC called me today to firm up my spec - even though the email says I had until 19th to change it if I wanted to, any changes would mean a delay to 2023 - so its not quite what it seems

Said this on another thread - I had same issue with the RS's - actually making the Nitrons a little less stiff has helped. I will get my Emira Geo adjusted if it doesn't turn in the way I want it to.. Lotus set it up for the average Joe

Lets look at this another way - this is a comparison with cars hugely more expensive, the Emira comes joint with the MC20 - a car many have raved about...

I was told the lower max rpm and 400hp was due to regulations and type approval - not trying to make way for a faster version (although that may happen of course)

Wasn't dealer - JLR just cancelled it - rumour is they are focusing on higher margin cars and cancelling the 'cheaper' ones. My friend has had to chase for updates the whole time, so no better than Lotus - she won't ever buy a JLR product again (and has been loyal before)

Its not just Lotus btw - I have a friend who had an LR Evoque on order - was told delivery in September after numerous delays - they just got a call to say the build slot is cancelled and they need to re-order if they want a car (most likely a 10 - 12 month wait)

You forgot - folks who went to the Track experience said the car was mega - tick :)

Wow - what a trip - you haven't missed out a lot to be honest - and I apologise - I said I would send routes and totally forgot.... you have however got most of the good ones in for sure... You might want to have a look at Passo de Stalle on the Austian/Italian border, Passo San Antonio not too...

He is actually pretty positive about the car - he does talk about the gear change, and that they are going to make some updates based on feedback from early drives.. not sure when that was filmed..

The Lotus aftermarket community is very active, and there will be ways to get the handling to your requirements.. I am not saying you should buy a car and then spend money on changing it.. but the option will be there... (upgraditus is a real thing in the Lotus community :) )

I think you'll be surprised... just a hunch based on what the folks who have driven it have said (that are not journalists) I am waiting for your test drive as much as you are :)
