As above, fully charge the battery first. If that doesn’t solve it, have you had the HVAC shroud fitted? Have you washed it or have you had heavy rain recently?

You should be able to achieve a finish that’s better than standard, it’s not that difficult at all. I resprayed my Evora callipers and the finish was clear and glossier that’s factory. You can also buy Lotus calliper stickers, on eBay.

If this is truly what’s happened, a broken drive shaft, then it calls into question the thesis that JUBU are claiming weak areas just to sell more parts. They also claim weak pistons, rods, valves, flywheel and clutch……….

Thanks Miamiblue. Good points. With regards to my HVAC controls, with the display on climate, when I push the buttons on the dials, nothing changes in the screen I.e. auto remains on regardless how many times I press the auto button on the HVAC controls.

“Sales haven’t quite been what was forecast”. Maybe make sure you sort out basic manufacturing and design issues before launching and then have a customer care department that is a) easy to contact, b) actually cares and c) actually sorts problems out quickly? Just my thoughts……….

I need to check my Emira, but as you said, every car I’ve ever had, has read higher than actual.

Not doubting this, but it seems strange that the Evora, prior to the strengthened gearbox, was available with an output of 430BHP and its replacement, with the strengthened gearbox, has 30 BHP less.

I don’t know about filtered water, but swirls are a possibility every time you touch the paintwork. So the wash before you dry is just as likely to mark the paint. Good washing practice/regime is the only way to avoid swirls.

So, finally got my Emira back from Lotus Colchester today, just 8 days short of 5 months after it went in! Only problem now is that the PPF on the roof is damaged and the dashboard centre speaker is buzzing (it wasn’t before it went in). Think I’ll drive it a while and get these new jobs done...
