Just back from Type132 preview event

People from lotus said they haven’t yet finalized the pricing and was keen to listening to our opinion. Yet the circumstances wasn’t really right for asking for bargains:(: we are a group of people just known each other and were still too shy to show just how cheap we really are😅 I would really...

If Not The EMIRA .......... WHAT ? .... yes ok blasphemy perhaps

I would have bought a second hand gt3 if Emira never exists. However gt3 prices have gone crazy in the two years I have been looking and getting more and more unreasonable.

Just back from Type132 preview event

There isn’t a real car/test mule there for us to experience just some renders&videos. The interior certainly looks futuristic and chic and luxury. Yes you can see some resemblances with zeeker 001 but they all look similar these days. The steering wheel is by far the most impressive piece of...

Just back from Type132 preview event

With all that said I do have my doubts for it’s future. First it’s a lotus, a small niche brand know not for luxury and prestige but hard core handling sports cars so old lotus fans is not enough. Secondly although it’s designed in UK engineered in Germany and so on one thing they can’t avoid is...

Just back from Type132 preview event

I’m not familiar with pricing in UK but that certainly sounds too good to be true. At least for the specs shared they say it go against cayennes, probably even cayenne turbo gt for the 1000 horse version. This is a near 5 meter long 2 meter wide behemoth super suv. I think they’ll make a smaller...

Just back from Type132 preview event

Hi guys as I promised here I am to share my experience of the type132 preview event here in Shanghai. It’s pretty late already so I’ll be quite brief at this moment but I’ll happily answer any questions you guys have later. In one word, “wow”. It’s everything I had expected but dialed to 11...

    Type 132 NAME

I’ve been invited to a preview event here in Shanghai tonight. No real car/model to be seen though. Will keep you posted if it is anything worth mention.

    New Config Live!

Thanks as always for useful info & insights! My only concern is, due to my height and long torso, I don't feel right looking out even in the Evora GT410’s bucket seat. I was literally looking straight at the sun visor. So I guess regardless of how awesome Emira‘s production seat would be I‘ll...

132 on Lotus website to order.

I would be very surprised if type 132 is not based on the Geely‘s SEA plateform, which underpins the Zeeker 001. Lotus claims it is whole new plateform but again, they also claims Emira is on a totally new plateform than the Evora, which we know is a bit of playing with the word.

Emira Styling: We all know it's gorgeous, but why...?

Great analysis! To me Evija is the most exciting and cohesive hypercar design in the past decade. Not to bash on past lotus but Evora design was far from perfect from my perspective. I have no idea how designers at Lotus (they are all Russell Carr's work aren't they?) leapt from Evora to Evija...

    Emira Front?

Judging from the line art provided by the spec doc, even if lotus manages to do a front boot it will be very small and shallow. A slanted front with a tilt-mounted radiator just take too much space. However I do think being able to pop open the front bonnet to take out even just a laptop is...

    New Config Live!

I'm in the design business and from our standard procedure we calibrate all our work for iOS devices as they are most widely used and generally very consistent in color reproduction. So unless your laptop screen is professionally calibrated I will go with color reproduction on your iOS devices...

    New Config Live!

Thanks for the clarification! Now I will only need to always park next to a dark verdant Emira when mine finally arrives!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

    Aftermarket wheels for the Emira

I would love to try BBS RI-Ds on my Emira, I think it will be a great match. I also like Ferrari's five-point star styled rims.

    New Config Live!

New configurator is great, my only thing with it is Nimbus on it though much better, still not showing the huge travel between under direct sunlight and shadow we see on this photo, which I really like: *I just realize the deep bluish shadow may be the reflection from dark verdant next to it?

Yellow Emira on display in China

I haven't seen the flower in them untill you mentioned it, now I cannot unsee it either! Jokes aside, I think you won't notice it if you first encounter them in person. Angle of viewing from standing height is very different from photoshoots which typically are from very low down. From standing...

The sound of I4 version exhaust ?

There hasn't been an functional i4 engineded Emira being shown yet. Show cars with i4 engine cover are all battery powered show cars only.

Yellow Emira on display in China

It‘s not uncommon to see number plates mounted in creative ways in China, especially on supercars. However everyday cars do indeed have plates on roughly the same place.

Yellow Emira on display in China

I agree with you on the first part but on Chinese government regulation I doubt it. When we get Alfa Romeo gulia here the plate are mounted to the side, just like other countries.

Some (nerdy) details from Shanghai showroom viewing

If those are carbon bits then instant PPF is a must! Black pack parts are all easily scratched including the roof. Show car shows quite a bit already.:( Yellow car came right after I left but do some search you can see quite a lot good quality pics already!

Some (nerdy) details from Shanghai showroom viewing

Black door sills are quite sunken compared to upper body shell. It also appears quit easy to get scratched, more clear bra needed! I don't know if this is the final seat (early reviews suggest seats are high but not final).Already at lowest position this doesn't look low at all to me. At least...

Some (nerdy) details from Shanghai showroom viewing

I went to Shanghai showroom days before and snapped some pictures. As the usual beauty shots are pretty common already I will only share some details I find interesting. Enjoy!;) First sight, Pretty! Wheels are indeed matte, wheels displayed on walls are glossy and not as attractive (at least...
