Why? I can’t imagine that they haven’t already negotiated the pricing of this engine from AMG - why can’t we know the specifics? I’m getting more and more disillusioned with my deposit. May go back to my planned Porsche purchase.

I am deficient in the gene that allows me to ignore others flying by me. My right foot goes to the floor like pavlovs dog drools.

That startup sound on that video - that is the AMG motor?? Doesn't sound like the V6. And yes they clearly state (as does the price and performance) that this is a sports car.

That seems like a really shady business practice. I would assume however that i will be able to take this car to a tuner and have the AMG significantly boosted in performance if the potential is there.

I understand templates but that still just cuts from a single sheet. I’m just not picturing how a 2d piece of film is going to cover a curved Inlet like the rear fender. Templates are designed to make cutting on paint unnecessary, but I’m still not seeing how they can defeat the laws of geometry.

Never had a car with PPF before but am planning. However I’m not at all sure how it can be treated with all the curved air ducts etc. I can’t imagine how a single film would be able to fit. Would it end up with a bunch of cut lines? Anyone with expertise, please chime in.

I am also afraid of lift off oversteer having driven awd Audi and BMW for the last 20 years. I tend to corner at the limit of my tires once I get used to the car and I know the 911 was famous for death and destruction for this issue.

Wow if anywhere near 40K, that is a great deal. It looks "nice" but doesn't make my heart flutter like the Emira. But if it's really only that price it's worth a strong consideration

I’m the exact opposite- maybe I have more stop and go traffic. A dcs all day long for me. I’ve done the stick shift manual thing and it gets old in city traffic. DCS gives me personally the same fun via paddle shifting with ability to just zone out if I want.

Mistake in the write up and comparison: You can’t get dual clutch on the V6. That by far is the biggest disappointment for me personally. I do not want a manual for a daily driver in traffic (been there, done that) and I don’t want a slushbox either.

It’s always a moving target. After all this car is way faster than the fastest cars when I was a kid. Has to be “impressive fast” to be a super car for me and in 2021 mid to low 4 seconds is not.
