    Storage space

First Emira just arrived in Canada, the Lotus rep had just arrived across the boarder and I wanted to answer the important question before I drove the car and forgot :). Will it fit? I didn't think so when I popped the boot but in fact - they made it with golf bag in mind :). Also, the space...

Has anyone checked if a compact carry golf bag fits in the boot with woods removed? One thing I may have to check if someone already hasn’t when I have my visit on Weds…

    Emira tyres (or tires)

Thanks Tom, very helpful! This time of year here we can already get a snowfall any day but it’s been very pleasant and will be 16 and sunny for test drive day. Those occasions certainly wouldn’t be pushing the car, best comp I can give would be driving carefully in a regular car with all...

    A special treat coming ̷s̷o̷o̷n̷ ̷ ̶t̶o̶m̶o̶r̶r̶o̶w̶ sometime .... NOW LIVE :)

What a great review! Obviously some will question the overwhelming positivity vs what other’s who’ve been in the car have said (I wonder if the production car he had is significantly improved vs the demos….would be nice to get confirmation on that regarding gripes some test drivers have...

    Emira tyres (or tires)

I have my test drive on Wednesday. I’m still very undecided on the suspension and tire setup which the test drive may help with. I think it’s a no brainer to go touring and Goodyear if it’s a daily driver, and sport and cup 2 if you have a few cars and it’s a track toy. Myself which I’m sure...

    Goodwood - updates and info

Thank you Tom! The update from Matt wasn’t sent to Lotus subscribers in NA at least. Wouldn’t have known about it if not from this forum. I don’t have a pre-existing relationship with the dealership pre-Emira so I don’t want to bug them and be annoying. My last contact was a couple months...

    Goodwood - updates and info

Hi @TomE , Thanks again for everything! I have a small favour to ask if possible when you’re talking to the Lotus folks. First off I have no animosity to those in the UK who’ve got their cars coming later this summer and had opportunities to attend Lotus events and see the car in the flesh...

Not getting a First Edition model

It’s 100% on Lotus being completely aloof, which is what makes me worry how many other things they have likely screwed up that we don’t know about yet. I was 2nd week of July and not getting an FE, probably wouldn’t even get a car until 2024. Likely asking for my deposit back when I hit the...

Where in the allocation list is your car?

July 8 here in Toronto, Canada. Still haven’t had a single call about anything, no 2nd deposit or order entry yet…

    Type 132 Reveal March 29

Thanks so much! Gotta love their comms lol. I’m in Canada and on every mailing list and have deposit down and didn’t get that info. Same thing with my Emira, I said I wanted to buy one on reveal day and wasn’t contacted til a week after which is why I won’t get an FE :/. Reason I was so...

    Type 132 Reveal March 29

Less than a week away, does anybody know if this will be an event at a set time which can be viewed online? Or will it just be a random e-mail and update online? I’d like to block off the time if it will be a live event. Thanks!

Anyone else surprised by the 0-60 times between the V6 & I4?

Out of curiosity, does it seem like they’re taking a much bigger profit margin on the V6? Roughly 10 grand less in Canada for the i4. Can’t imagine a Camry engine on it’s own costs Lotus 10K. I think from everything they’ve said the i4 would be the faster track car. I think this shows the...

    Canadian Allocations

What dealership? I had assumed all 5 had crossed the 50 mark by Jan 1…guess not. Curious to know nonetheless as Gentry got towards the bottom end of Canadian allocations with 100 deposits at the time.

    Canadian Allocations

Unfortunately Lotus promised FE availability to depositors and then backtracked on that for the NA Market, unless they backtrack again it’s going to be strictly the first 700 cars in NA (70-100 in Canada it seems). This is for V6FE, if you want i4FE likely possible. Based on double production...

    Canadian Allocations

This information may be incorrect but it’s the last numbers I heard: - I deposited at Gentry (Toronto) the week after announcement and I’m around #30. - Was told they expected to get about 10 in their initial allocation, maybe it goes to 15. -As of about a month ago I believe they had over 100...

    Canadian Allocations

My guess would be deposit made by end of July will get 2023 delivery. That would be my assumption based on my dealer getting 10 cars this year, if it’s double next year that would be 20. I made my deposit about a week after Goodwood mid July and think they only got a couple more by the end of...

    Quick U.S. Update

For those on this forum who argued with me about Lotus being out of their minds to limit the FE to those who already placed deposits as early as July and not honour the pricing that deposits were made on and communicated with those customers. I’m just going to leave this right here...

    Quick U.S. Update

Thanks Tom, don’t mean to frustrate you :). I guess they can’t but what I’m saying would be if the dealer submitted 16 deposits to Lotus that were in the first 700, that would be their allocation. Appreciate you responding to everything once again despite being so repetitive.
