What did you do to your Emira today?

..the rubber dam they put in at the factory looks like someone was frustrated to try to get it on.
Looks almost like the rubber was weathered/dry-rot. Doesn't look like its ripped, it looks more like cracking. Even some of the surface where there are no holes looks dried out and scratched.. Saw an older post where someone had taken steps to wrap the wire loom connection to double protect against water ingress.

Now I need to go open mine up to check the rubber and the bolts...

I ordered a new one, once that arrives I’ll take out the old and potentially seal the hvac resistor with some silicone which I think was the purpose of them putting the rubber water shield.

Anyway, my car was built in September of 2024. Not sure how long it sat at the dealer lot but it was in van nuys California so weather shouldn’t have been too brutal to dry rot the rubber and the car only has about 200 miles

Where was that one? Essex ?
Yes, there's two each month in Essex. One for SELOC and one for LDC - although members for both turn up for either.

SELOC 2nd Sunday at Poplar Nurseries, Marks Tey.
LDC Last Sunday of month at Barleylands.

Do you happen to have the part number for those pieces?
I've already scraped them up pretty good from spirited drives, haha. Touring suspension is a bit bouncing and those are scarificial pieces which I'm super thankful for (along w/ the pucks).

Sold it. I have really enjoyed owning it and am genuinely sad to see it go . The looks still blow me away, it is great to drive and still feels special. However, I hadn’t used the car much this year for a number of reasons. With winter approaching and the warranty up in January I decided it was time to move on.

As a lifelong Lotus fan and serial Lotus owner it pains me to say it, but I have also become increasingly disillusioned with what Lotus has become under Geely. The way Lotus tanked UK Emira residuals with over supply, the shafting of their their best dealers like B&C, the DGAF attitude to customer care, the cynical and dishonest backtracking on the 5 year paint warranty, the disastrous EV strategy based on bloated Chinese SUVs, even the toe curling ‘are you a driver or what’ ads, it is almost like Lotus have been trying to lose their loyal sports car customers. Love the Emira; the company that makes it, sadly not so much anymore 😡

Anyway, on a positive note, this has been a great community to be a part of and I will be sticking around to see how things with the Emira develop. Who knows, I may own another one day if Lotus sort their shit out and produce a go-faster version. Meanwhile I am going to really miss seeing those beautiful Emira curves and I’ll look back fondly at some epic drives in the Scottish highlands.

Off-topic sorry but I was thinking of doing the North Coast 500 some time - any tips or advice?
I've driven my Elise up to Scotland a few times, been to Knockhill twice (a great track) but not been up there in the last 25 years.
