Shift Knob Replacement

I finally received the wooden shift knob from Lotus in the UK that I ordered last December. I was not sure I would get it. It got stuck here in Chicago customs for several weeks. I like it a lot. $342 delivered from SJ Sportscars Limited. I worked with a great guy named Chris there. He stayed on Lotus pretty good. It weighs 2oz less than the stock knob, 4 1/8 oz versus 2 1/8 oz. I don't think that's an issue for me. Add lightness :). I dig the way it looks.

What part number or name is it listed under? Not finding it on their website.

I feel your pain, these things are indeed hard to come by. My advice is to order (and pay for) the shift knob if you have not done that. Thats what I did and even though it was a long wait they eventually fulfilled the order. I'm not sure who makes these knobs for Lotus, but I am sure it's a very small order, and maybe a small manufacturer. I suspect the knob on the Emira Clark Edition will be similar or the same, they will need to make some quantity for that car so hopefully if you have an order in, Chris at SJS can snag you one. He's pretty persistent. Maybe let him know you would be interested in the Clark Edition knob as it should be similar but may have a different part number.

Btw, after using it for a while now, I like the feel of the wood versus the metal, and of course it does not heat up.

Good luck!
Well, "good things come to those who wait" or is it, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again" ? 🤔

But +1 for Chris at SJ, mine arrived today!!

Not sure if anyone wants to see it once it's installed in my T25 Jim Clark Elise (up on lift now), but could add that later.

Hooray!!!

How long did it take for you to receive it after you placed the order?

Funny, on my search about a month ago (again) Google directed me to this thread and @Rapture had just posted his. I neglected to read backwards and see @mr.suntorytime posts about making them. If I had, I would have voted for the smaller diameter. I had a "big ball" shifter on my Exige at purchase and removed it, not a fan.
That being said, I wonder if @Rapture knob is the smaller 46sh mm or the 50ish mm

And to the question at hand, I ordered (again, most recently) just before July 4th and checked a couple times.
Hit Chris' desk on my Birthday, Monday. I suspect even faster now!
