    I4 - Milltek valve controller, CEL and codes P13C2, P246B, P1439

I considered the v2, but the number of wires in that harness concerned me...each of those crimps is a new failure mode being introduced to that harness and I didn't know what a break in the other wires' connections would result in. At least with v1, any failure is limited to the operation of...

    I4 - Milltek valve controller, CEL and codes P13C2, P246B, P1439

I recently hit the 1,000 mile mark on my car, so I installed a Milltek valve controller (gen 1). After the car warmed up, the check engine light illuminated, and a later diagnostic revealed codes P13C2, P246B, and P1439. After a couple days in the garage I cleared the codes and went for...

Lotus - summary of financial situation

Aside from the US' China EV tariffs, the problem with a Lotus EV is they were trying to go too far upmarket too quickly. They tried to be Porsche before building up the brand enough. I wonder if they could just focus on selling simpler, FUN cars (EV included) and not focus as much on luxury...

What's the deal with this sticker?

My guess was that it was for while the vehicle was in transit, that it's in a special mode to conserve battery power or whatever, and that the dealer should have removed it? The drop glass function was working fine on my car so I removed that sticker.

Geely to sell all share back to Lotus!

As I read it, the two parts of Lotus are being recombined...the UK-based portion focusing on sports cars and engineering consulting, and the China-based portion focusing on EVs - but it seems to be that China-based portion that is in control of it all now. I'd expect the China side of the...

Geely to sell all share back to Lotus!

From the press release: 'Pursuant to the agreement, the Company will issue new shares valued at $10 per share in consideration of Geely and Etika’s transfer of Lotus UK shares. Lotus UK is valued at 1.15 multiples revenue plus cash minus debt of LGIL, based on LGIL’s audited consolidated...

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Pretty sure the new tariffs announced today are ALL supplemental tariffs...so the car tariff would be 35% if that's the case. And the scotch tariff...I think Trump's previous 25% tariff on scotch, from 2019, is still in effect?

    Greetings from Colorado

Good to know, thanks. I'd been leaving the access panel for the manual trunk release partly open just in case but this gives me more confidence that I shouldn't have to use that again.

    Greetings from Colorado

Thanks for the tips. I too LOVE the turbo sounds! I'll be curious what the exhaust sounds like in sport mode once I'm done with the break-in miles and can push it to redline...I'm thinking of getting the Milltek valve controller to open that up whenever I want.

Lotus shares are down 90% from IPO

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the publicly traded Lotus is only the Lotus Technology side of the company - the China-based portion focusing on EVs and EV technology. The fun cars made in the UK are under Lotus Cars, not Lotus Technology, right?

Chronic electrical issues on late 2024 build I4 First edition

I had this same error pop up up yesterday, left turn signal error. Left turn signal was on as I waited at a light, I accelerated enough to probably trigger the traction control at a mild level, and then I got the error.

I've only had my I4 for a few days and a few hundred miles, but no glitches so far.

    Rear diffuser bolts and clips

If you replace those fasteners with SS, I'd monitor it closely. In contact with aluminum and an electrolyte (in this case, water), the combination of SS and aluminum is likely to result in corrosion of the aluminum base. Alternatively, if you use a zinc plated fastener, zinc and aluminum are...
