I only found screws in my car. The green paint however is a marking from Lotus that the screw - or nut in your case - was checked for correctly applied torque ;) it most probably is from your car, but don’t worry too much about it.
I‘m also one of the guys here that are no expert, but have at least some idea of audio engineering in general.
In my opinion, the keg system is really good for what it is and especially for what the Emira is. It sounds good, is more than loud enough and there is wry little distortion even at...
I guess we‘ll get a few more of these recalls 😅 „fortunately my car is parked until March and I only have to go to the dealer once for all the stuff they find recall worthy in the next few months.
Would you like to share how much your first Service was, if it was already done?
They did the 3 recalls (wipers, a-pillars, seat belts), fixed my loose headlamp, fixed a rattling from the center speaker, and did a software update to clear the SOS service and auto hold warnings. Oh, and they also said that they could not recreate the cold start stalling issue after they...
Got my car back and all the little niggles were fixed and the recalls were addressed👍🏻 however (maybe due to miscommunication) they didn’t do the service and therefore I can‘t report anything about that. Will do it at the beginning of next March. Did anybody already get his/her car serviced in...
I think this was the worst review of the car that I‘ve seen so far (including the infamous Jethrow review). He reviewed a Lotus for over a week and didn’t mention once how it drives 😂 rather than that, he mentioned every little niggle and exaggerated most of them. 90% of the negatives he...
I‘m also from Bavaria, but now live close to Berlin and bought my car at Sportivo Leipzig. They were always great to deal with and at the moment my car is there for the first service, recalls, and a few minor bug fixes. I will probably get it back tomorrow and can tell you how it all went.
Nice...
I‘m not completely sure and still checking, but it probably really has something to do with priming the engine (or the lack of doing so).
If I’m going to ignition on with the endlessly long 5 second start button press, and thereafter wait for another few seconds, the car starts completely fine...
To get back to topic, I only tried it once and managed 286 km/h on the display, and could have reached 290 as well, if there wouldn‘t have been traffic in my way.
The car behaves great at that speeds, however the steering gets pointier and you have to steer more carfully. My thought was that...
What was the last TC transmission that you drove? In modern BMWs for example the ZF transmission does in no way feel disconnected or slow by any means. Those transmission also bypass the converter most of the time, so there you have your direct connection as well.
No, that‘s not what happens. More the other way around. It revs to 2.000 after startup, then falls to 1.000, and then recovers to the rpm for cat heating (roughly 1.300). After that it goes back to normal idle (1.000 on track mode). It shouldn’t drop to 1.000 immediately after startup.
Ok, good to know. Then mine seem to be completely fine. My cold start also improved quite a bit. After startup in track mode, the revs drop to roughly 1.000 rpm for two or three seconds and then go up again to 1.300 or so to heat the cats.
I have a tool from Autel, not only a Bluetooth adapter. I only had a few minutes to have a look today. The tool says they should be between 0 and 1.275V. Both showed 1.275V when the car was off. After startup, the initially did nothing for a few seconds, but started working normally thereafter...
