Nut found laying on driver’s floor mat

Found this laying on driver’s side floor mat. Checked up underneath the dash and around the seats. Couldn’t find where it came from. Any ideas?

The green paint is a little odd. John Deere lawnmower? Did you check the size of the nut to see if it's metric or inch standard?

I only found screws in my car. The green paint however is a marking from Lotus that the screw - or nut in your case - was checked for correctly applied torque ;) it most probably is from your car, but don’t worry too much about it.

Better to have a spare than a missing screw. My diffuser is short by one 6M screw...
