Hi,

Should read Engine warning light.

Have now completed nearly 1900 miles having a nice drive, fuel warning light came on at 50 miles, but either same time or just after got yellow warning light, no other indication. Refuelled with 99 octane at Shell garage. Previous refuel not sure what Octane.

Currently Light still staying on.

Any suggestion, or wait and try to if clears?

Thanks

Roland

Low fuel always comes paired with the yellow triangle. Do you have a triangle illuminated or a engine warning light?

Triangle alone should never light up according to the manual, but it happened to me before. A few minutes of downtime did reset it.

Engine light explains it then, welcome to Lotus - One of us!
Depending on how far away you are from the next dealer I’d advise to buy a OBDII scanner to see what’s going on.

Left car for about an hour, let the engine cool, leaving boot open. Just put her away for the night in the garage.

Thankfully when started , engine warning light went out from initial diagnostic on fire up.

Lets hope it stays that way.

Thanks for reponses

I have run out of fuel twice now. Don't think I got the triangle but defo the amber EML on both occasions.

After 'a while' restart etc the EML disappeared.

Running out != "On reserve" warning

also the warning when out of fuel on the centre screen is a triangle exclamation mark combo which says 'out of P'

Surely the code monkeys could make it read 'Out of Fuel' ffs

One is not thinking clearly with an £80k spanking new motor dead on a live highway
