I will follow up with CoolGear on the status of their new power supply. Last I heard the new version is out but it still has issues negotiating the correct PD profile for the new 25W MagSafe charger. I’ll update once I hear back.

I have returned with good and bad news.

Good news: CoolGear decided to ghost me after months of telling me they are working on fixing compatibility issues, so I tested a few other power supplies and have found an alternative that plays nicely with the newest Apple MagSafe charger (they just released a new one along the iPhone 17 that supports 25W/Qi2.2)

Bad news: The new power supply is more expensive, cost for other materials have also gone up so I need to raise prices a bit. Kit will now be back to the original price of $300 from the previous $285. US shipping still included in price.

Lastly, life has been a bit hectic lately so I am not currently taking requests for new devices. For the time being I will only be supporting the following phones:

- All MagSafe enabled phones (12-17)
- Pixel 8
- Pixel 8 Pro
- Galaxy S23/24 Ultra

I'll look into adding support for other phones if things calm down a bit.

@silent cilantro If you can manage a "generic" tray that loosely fits any phone that is less than an inch or so in width to the opening of the cubby space, I would like to order (currently waiting for the Pixel 10a to be announced next year). I think the magnetic hold would be strong enough for my driving, so no need for a close fitting device-specific design.

The tray is already mostly universal except for the camera recess since I’m trying to optimize contact area between the phone and charger while still providing support.

But yes, I agree and I think the tray that fits the new iPhone 17 pro will look like what you describe and will likely fit most phones.

I've experienced several issues when connecting CarPlay wirelessly. I can only use it plugged. In fact, I disabled wireless connection entirely. That's what's holding me from placing an order atm.

Off topic, but have you tried one of those wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto dongles? They will look like a wired connection from the car's perspective. It is a must-have for our Emiras where wireless CarPlay / Audroid Auto is not enabled.

No, I didn't know about they look like a wired connection from the car's perspective. Also, they looked all pretty cheap electronics, and the few I saw were not that easy to hide elegantly, I don't really want to clutter the car with bulky or bad looking devices. Do you have any to suggest? If this worked, I might as well go for the charger @silent cilantro sells.
