After some back and forth I finally read the instructions, updated firmware and plugged in the AutoPro X into the USB C port in the armrest console. The unit itself is a small circle, very light. Your phone connects wireless to the AutoX Pro.

This allows you to use DEX or Android Auto - the party trick being anything that works on your phone can now be used on your screen, including YouTube, Netflix etc. It works pretty well, framerate is not a smooth 60hz probably more like 30. I haven't figured out exact aspect ratio control (the Emira screen is wider than 16:9) but there's probably a screen ratio control somewhere.

While DEX is running your phone can do whatever so if I'm doing this I'll just run Waze on my phone and whatever video on the main screen.

I'm guessing that with a Samsung S23 you can't connect to two bluetooth accessories at the same time? Would be nice to connect to an OBDII reader and the AutoX to display gauges, etc.

Im not sure of the purpose of this device with a fold phone. You can just use the wireless AA on the car's screen and open your phone to watch or open any other app. The phone itself has a full access and a beautiful big screen

Very hard to watch spicy content using AA or carplay.

OP has solved that issue. Bravo

Is it bigger than the central lotus touch screen?!

Also this opens up *multitasking*. The winning never stops
Its an 8" Screen when open. Pretty big. I just run Android Auto on the cars screen and use my Fold 7 to watch whatever I wan , even run apps

I basically just run Android Auto and use the 8" Samsung Fold 7 for whatever I want to watch or run.

Dude we’re mostly kidding around here…

In all seriousness I had assumed the car's main audio will only play what's on the main head unit Android Auto and not what is going on in the phone (when Android Auto is connected) - hence I wanted to watch youtube/netflix, etc. and hear it on the car's main audio system when that content is on the dash screen. Also minor point but worth mentioning my phone mount is for candybar orientation when my phone is closed, yes it's huge when opened but little cramped for space on the left side of the wheel where my phone is mounted.

All of this is moot because on longer road trips I just use my Sony earbuds since the car is pretty noisy over long distances -
