Lotus Emira V6 ECU Tune - Bench Flash

Manual transmission no issues. Auto transmission.....unknown territory.

the spare ECU we have was programmed to our Emira which ended up getting lemoned.
then we removed the BGA chip on it to do deeper analysis, so it can't be put into anyones car.

Power figures are at the wheel.

I see prices on Emiras are dropping fast we may be getting another one.
Just to be clear on the workflow here please - we would send you our original ECU and you would send back a clone bench-flashed with tune on that's then plug and play? Thanks

The easiest case would be:
1. Go to your dealership and request purchasing a new ECU for your vehicle. Give them your VIN and other info.
2. Dealership will sell you a ECU that's already programmed to your car.
3. Send us that ECU. We flash it and return
4. Swap that ECU into your vehicle, done.

no down time.

These ECUs are not cloneable.

Will you be able to code out CELs on the new ECU for cars that have aftermarket catless headers? If so I'm guessing that will be one of the options when choosing a tune/map.

Thanks. So ECU from write-off won't work needs to be a brand new one from Lotus only?

How difficult is a pulley swap? I might be in for a tune, lid, & pulley package.
Already have Eventuri intake and third cat delete on the shelf.

I’m in also and want to know which is the best pulley option where I don’t have to change any internals so motor will be safe under warranty. What headers do you recommend for me because I don’t have to worry about inspections? And others will want to know which headers and setups for cars that need inspections. Looking to be where motor will be safe for track days. I have Eventuri air intake the Milltek version 2 valve controller, GRP titanium exhaust and 3rd cat delete.
Do you recommend adding the JUBU cooling lines and race thermostat?
And hopefully someone can post the best intercooler installation option to maintain the horsepower because there will be heat soaking that will decrease the power after a few track runs.

My understanding is that it would have to be a new ECU for your VIN,

Another tuner had mentioned we have different revisions of the ECUs so you have to make sure you get the same one that is in your car.

Remember they are not cloning the ecu, so to minimize downtime for their customers they are suggesting you buy a new ecu from the dealership and send it to them.

They can bench flash the ecu for the v6, it’s up to you to decide how much down time you can deal with while they bench flash your only ecu (if you don’t buy an extra one)

I’m interested in this as well. If the setup on the car changes down the road, can the ECU be sent back in for tune revision at no cost other than shipping?

If I had a V6 I would have already bought another ecu and sent it in...this is GREAT news for V6 owners (y)

I would of thought just a pulley change would make a big difference, on old my mini SC was a huge performance gain.

swapping pulleys + tuning makes a HUGE difference.

We just wrapped up our pump gas tune on a Evora GT with a 2.6 pulley (smallest currently available for these cars that we had manufactured). Gains are huge

We would like to inquire how many people would be interested in a BENCH flash (mail in ECU to us, or mail spare ECU) for their V6 Emira?
Spare ECUs can be bought from your local dealership, we bought ours, cost is about $1k.

VF Tuner has already done *extensive* tuning and testing on the Evora 400 / Evora Gt, which the maps and tables are nearly identical.

Bench Flash Cost: $1199
Turn around time: 4-6 days

Choice of tune will need to be told to us before we flash the ECU.

We have ready to go tunes for the following:

Rev limit: 7200 or 7400 (user choice)
91 or 93 octane (user choice)
Stock vehicle
Exhaust (but stock header)
Aftermarket header + full exhaust

Tunes for smaller pulleys (already tested on the Evora GT)
With/without exhaust modifications
2.9 pulley
2.8 pulley
2.7 pulley
2.6 pulley (VF Tuner did the testing on this pulley for the Evora GT Community)
We have also solved the TORQUE limiting (throttle limit) on smaller pulleys as well.

Basically, VF Tuner has already extensively tested and dyno'd nearly every modification combination there is on the Evora GT, which the Emira v6 is practically identical to.
VF tuner has also track *abused* our GT at 7400 RPM to test durability.

(some values shown are raw dat)
Example tables:
rev limit sets (by time and Engine temp)

Features and gains
- no more "hitting the wall" rev limit. You can bounce off the limiter
Est gains:
stock vehicle : 50-60hp gain
Stock pulley + bolt ons 70-90+hp gain
2.8 pulley + bolt ons 100-130+ HP gain
2.7 pulley + bolt ons 120-150+ HP gain
2.6 pulley + bolt ons 160-200+ hp gain
So I might be interested once my car is out of warranty. I’d be looking at a 7200 redline and maybe a 2.8 pulley to get to 100-130 bhp gain. What are the ‘bolt ons’ you mention? Can you supply the pulley and the bolt ons as well as the tune? Currently my car is stock apart from a 3rd cat delete.

interesting that they'll over-drive the supercharger, when JUBU specifically say that to achieve 460 & above reliably, they under-drive the SC (increasing SC pulley size to reduce boost), otherwise piston failure can be an issue on a std motor.
Just sayin.

Really exciting developments. Well done.

The irony is no one blows more of these motors than Jubu 😂
