What did you do to your Emira today?

Today was the day to upgrade my brake pads to something a bit cleaner.
Added hawk brake pads all around.
I also installed some 3-D printed rock guards.

Almost finished planned mods/accessories:

-full wrap (PDF clear), PDF on center screen and door sills, and windshield protective film, plus ceramic coat rims
-soft car cover for winter storage
-custom MagSafe wireless charger for iPhone
-Banco key fob covers
-quick hook-up for battery tender
-Aerie V2 rims on OEM summer tires, for occasional track use (otherwise use OEM rims on all-seasons)
-Powerflex wheel install guide pin from GRP, and shorter one from Amazon
-e100 fire extinguisher mounted on back edge of driver seat
-“Lotus” valve stem caps (for each set tires)
-replaced OEM with black lug nuts
-replaced yellow hood badge and yellow tire center caps, with black
-ZL1 red tow hook w camera mount
-Raceseng shift knob (black alcantara with red stitch)
-had engine cover painted red
-GRP “Emira” windshield fluid cap
-Witimats red/black floor mats and trunk liner set
-GRP third cat delete and Millteck valve control
-replaced OEM illuminated “puddle light” with “Emira” and shape of car
-added Alpine tweeters
-added Kicker 10” subwoofer
-sound insulation and sound absorbing foam, put inside doors, rear side panels, engine firewall, and base of rear storage shelf
-replaced OEM black seatbelt webbing with black/red dual striped webbing

Yet to come:

-ceramic coat entire car (detailer said to let PDF “cure” a year, to get best ceramic results)
-install Eventuri system already purchased from GRP (wait for warranty expiry?)
-splash guards, aka mud-flaps. Waiting to see what Greg (GRP) comes up with.

Plus whatever else looks interesting, based upon future Forum advice. My sincere thanks to members and Forum sponsors, for the great suggestions and, in some cases, invaluable install directions.

Have the carbon front lip painted in gloss black to match the rest of the car. Also trimmed the edges of the lip to have the same curvature as the weel arches.

I purchased mine for about US$30 + ship, from TaoBao, which some describe as the Chinese eBay. It took some effort, using Google Translate. You can also buy it with less of a language barrier but for more money, from AliExpress. Last I checked, anyway. Good luck finding yours.

Love it! What brand did you go with for this? Fit looks really good. I've been on the fence about getting this, as my Emira came with the privacy glass which frankly makes the view of the engine a little too hard to see. That said, it's all matte black plastic so there isn't much trying to be seen right now. With the matte carbon+privacy glass would anyone be able to see it unless the trunk was open? But I was concerned about reflections if I got the glossy carbon. So I started small and got the solid aluminum washer fluid cap from GRP (which looks great and you now badly need one to complete your engine bay), and found even in the yellow aluminum I get no reflection at all.
So I'm ready to take the plunge and just need to know which brand people have had good results with. Thanks!

Took mine to the SELOC Lotus Owners Breakfast meet in Colchester, Essex.

There were about 20 cars there; 3 Emiras, an Evora, a lovely Elan 2 and the rest were Elises of various persuasions - all very nice cars.

I've not been on a "car meetup" like this for over 20 years since the old "Fish'n'Chip Shop" runs in my Elise, so it was really nice to meet everyone. Apart from the average age of the owners not much has changed, everyone still really friendly. Surprisingly, this was the first time I have seen an Emira on the road in the UK, even in the UK they are still a fairly rare car.

I live in the Midwest United States and our cars are unicorns here.
In 14 years, I never saw another Evora on the road and only a couple at a car show.
I have only seen two other Emira in person.
I saw the press car in St. Louis about 18 months ago and I saw a yellow one while riding a bike trail sitting in a parking lot.

I bought from someone who never installed it because they sold the car. The kit is from GRP. The fit is good. Having privacy glass will certainly make it hard to see. One reason I did not opt for the dark glass.

Yesterday, May 17, was Winston's one-year anniversary so I installed the Darkworks Design Aluminum Shift Boot Delete. Finished the day with 15,070 miles on the clock. Booked in to Eurocar on June 3rd for an oil change and the addition of a handful of mods (Hawk Ceramic Pads, GRP Short Shifter, GRP 12 MM Spacers, Black/Silver nose badge.) On the hunt for the perfect 5-spoke wheel to make cleaning easier...

I removed the mesh cage for the gear linkage. I'm not sure if I like it. What do you guys think?

Taking it out was a pain, so I'm not looking forward to putting the cage back in if I decide I don't like the look.

I assume Lotus had to put the grill in there only for health and safety reasons, in case anyone stuck their fingers in there.

I'd get my pants caught in there for sure. Not as bad as the shift-boot delete though - that's just begging for a dropped mint or coin to ruin your shifter.

Or if you're married, and your wife puts her purse with the floppy handle next to the center console, and her handle flops over into the mechanism. To me, opening everything up like this is just inviting Murphy to pay you a visit.
