base v6 spring of '23. nothing in writing about i4 starting then I don't think.Hmm still a bit surprising given the base edition is out spring 2023. Perhaps that timeline might shift. Don’t see how base edition is out before FE.

Yep I misquoted Spring 2023. Although FE I4 still has a Spring 23 timeline on the Lotus US website. It’s entirely possible that the timeline has shifted. We’ll know for sure in March I guessbase v6 spring of '23. nothing in writing about i4 starting then I don't think.

call tom man he told me alot last weekgood to hear! I reached out to Boardwalk here in California a few weeks ago stating that I have had no updates from them since last September. They apologized for the lack of info. To date I have not heard any updates other that what I read on here. Sounds like this is typical of Lotus?
Seems like Tom is the main Lotus guy there. His subordinate who took my deposit and whom I have been communicating with hasn’t shared much. I hate having to reach out every so often for updates vs the dealer proactively updating their clients.call tom man he told me alot last week
yeah kyle is new seems like he just isn't getting all of itSeems like Tom is the main Lotus guy there. His subordinate who took my deposit and whom I have been communicating with hasn’t shared much. I am still waiting to hear from them. Did you speak to them?Has anyone heard from Hi Tech / Austin? I guess I'll call tomorrow morning and try to dig out any information.
This reads like every dealer in the US is getting a minimum of 30 cars.Spoke to Tom at Boardwalk. Looks like anyone after mid-August will be in the second batch of V6, non-FE for delivery next Spring. Here’s a summary of details.
- depending on size of your dealer, allocations are anywhere from 30-50. In this case, Boardwalk is getting 40. They have started reaching out to those 40 deposits. Given the amount of interest, it would take a lot of people dropping out for any of the later folks to get an FE this year. I placed deposit early September, a few days after learning about it from a colleague. Cut off for FE allocation was mid-August.
- Lotus will be building V6 first until next Spring. The second batch, non-V6 will start production early next year with delivery in Spring. FE 4cyl won’t start this year. Those will be delivered sometime next year.
- Pricing for second batch will likely increase a few percent. Of course this is conjecture as we don’t know what Lotus will do.
- More colors and options available for second batch of V6. It will be 2023 MY.
- Dealers will receive demo cars in the next 2-3 months.
I was only thinking about large dealers. Smaller ones will get less and even larger ones will get a bit more. But nobody is getting hundreds of FE V6 cars. This reads like every dealer in the US is getting a minimum of 30 cars.
Careful read.
I did... my understanding is that they will receive 17 initially, followed by another 11 through the end of the year.I am still waiting to hear from them. Did you speak to them?
Your dealership should at the very least know the order of their list. Sharing the order, that is a completely different story. I got confirmation that I was getting the first Emira coming to my dealership last spring but still had to wait until Feb 1st to finalize the order and they were very vague about absolutely everything until that day.I did... my understanding is that they will receive 17 initially, followed by another 11 through the end of the year.
I put my deposit down July 12 and my impression at the time was that I was the first to do so, but I don't have confirmation of that. I have not been contacted to move forward with the process. Waiting / dealing with the lack of information is very frustrating.
I'm still trying to reconcile the date-of-deposit, mid-Auaust cutoff and Dealer allocation provisions. Anyone after 40 i(in this instance) isn't necessarily wearing a smile but may have fingers crossed.Spoke to Tom at Boardwalk.
