Yes to easy to do. Just get it re inspected in summer and roll from there.Anyone ever change their state inspection month? I'd rather not have my Emira due for inspection every winter.
Long IslandWhich dealer are you getting your car from?
Check the rules for your state. In Georgia you can get it 12 months in advance.Anyone ever change their state inspection month? I'd rather not have my Emira due for inspection every winter.
I'll text my dealer tomorrow - he usually responds right away..I sent an email to mine (Lotus of Austin/Hitech Motors) but nothing yet. They have been extremely poor so far so I don't expect them to have any information. They are probably finding out stuff after we do.
In TX new vehicle get 2 years then every yearI'll text my dealer tomorrow - he usually responds right away..
Awesome, let us know what they tell you please!I'll text my dealer tomorrow - he usually responds right away..
No intention to flip. But all things equal it’s a marginal factor, but agreed on miles. I’m a pre reveal depositor, I put a deposit on this thing before it had a name, let alone knew what it looked like…So are you just planning on flipping then -- locked into a deposit or something?
I'm guessing miles are by far the major resale factor here -- just don't drive it.
Thanks for sharing the information. just curious, New Jersey is one of the states that require CARB. How do they sell Emira without getting CARB? Is only EPA enough?Spoke with my dealer (summit nj). Stated no new information at all. Delivery expected to start in Dec. I’m part of group 2.
There are four groups. So I’m guessing if it’s a Dec-Jan delivery window every 2 weeks would roughly be a delivery window. So the 3rd-4th week of Dec I might see my vehicle (group 2)
Dec 1-15 group 1
Dec 16-31 group 2
Jan 1-15 group 3
Jan 16-31 group 4
This is all pure guess and speculation. My experience from direct communication tells me I’ll be told it’ll be delivered in June 2025. Lol![]()
They can't. The implication is that they hope to get CARB certification by delivery time. It's not a sure thing. Thanks for sharing the information. just curious, New Jersey is one of the states that require CARB. How do they sell Emira without getting CARB? Is only EPA enough?
Lotus will wait for Carb, same thing happened for Evora 400. It's about a month after EPAThanks for sharing the information. just curious, New Jersey is one of the states that require CARB. How do they sell Emira without getting CARB? Is only EPA enough?
Your dealer probably could accommodate your request. Fairly straightforward I would think. What is your age if you don't mind me asking?Kind of weird question, does the dealer really care who buys the car once they take delivery since it is not a direct to customer model in NA? I ask because I have a FE1.0 allocation and after the years of waiting, health is changing, and love of driving much less than over 2 years ago, thinking about letting mine go. I am 90-95% positive I will let the car go, but not looking to flip it. It would be nice to get my $5k deposit back but not sure they would sell it to somebody besides me. If I buy it and resell, then the new owner would be second owner and I would rather that person have first ownership. I have fought so hard to keep my mind into buying this car as it was going to be my last sports car purchase, but feel I am keeping feelings of youth alive while not realizing the truths of age.
I placed an order for Emira at Park Place too 1 year ago. But I haven't heard much updates since then. lolAccording to my guy at Bellevue, they aren't receiving all their cars, just the first batch. So it looks like they're shipping according to the order group schedule. I asked about the destination charge, but he said they haven't been told yet.
If your contract is for MSRP, I expect they'd be more than happy to take the car off you and sell it for overs; you might even be able to negotiate getting your deposit back + a little profit.Kind of weird question, does the dealer really care who buys the car once they take delivery since it is not a direct to customer model in NA?
