Piece in "DRVE" by Nico Demattia Sort of a recap of what we know...but its a good read. https://www.thedrive.com/news/lotus-final-ice-sports-car-will-be-replaced-by-an-ev-in-2027?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialflow&fbclid=IwAR3zUoRWEHN_S7Dgdus96Nu0_rGJwWP3g-PZPHpeoe3EE5GJu-86ZmE3JaU
Like many of you, I’ve been a bit worried that the holdup with CARB certification meant that they were de-tuning the Emira by re-flashing the ECUs, adding more emissions controls, or just generally raining on our performance parade in some way. My dealer (who has been very transparent and helpful), has assured me that this is NOT the case. He has stated that the European standards are actually more stringent than CARB, so there will NOT be any de-tuning. In fact, this is why Lotus was surprised that it has taken so long. They figured they would sail through US approval. But we all know how red tape goes! Fingers crossed this is accurate and we all get good news soon. :)

Hello Lotus Emira members in the USA At the Dallas location, CARB stickers have arrived, and they are placing them under the hood supposedly, therefore, your Emira's should be delivered soon (my guess is 1-2 weeks across the nation), for those that are lucky enough to have their cars in the USA as the first 500 units shipped per Lotus (or are on the way once CARB stickers done).

All models on display except the emira at the Piccadilly showroom opposite the Ritz in London. Just walked past an hour ago. What's their strategy, is the emira making a loss for lotus or something?
Interesting / farcical if true Must admit I'm a little out the loop.. My deposit was day after reveal on 7/7/21 and after learning a year ago it would be summer 2023 for the AMG I bailed Given it was early to place a deposit would it really have ended up summer 2024?! Yes it's pretty.. but cmon Lotus you're supposed to be taking people like me away from Ze Germans and you've f*cked this so badly https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-britishcars/official-emira-four-pot-deliveries-pushed-back/47978

Print edition of December 2023 Car & Driver has a road report on the Emira by Sam Smith. He wrung it out on North Carolina Rt. 209 (called the Rattler). His takeaway: The Emira is an old school Lotus, so we're fans. Digital version not yet available. See attachments.
I'm surprised no one has posted about this yet, and that Lotus appear to have done no PR to publicise it. The world dealer map hasn't even been updated! A new Lotus dealer has been appointed in Salt Lake City, Utah. Salt Lake City Motorcars have added Lotus to existing franchises for Bentley, Lamborghini and Pininfarina. As well as selling new Emiras and Electres, they will be selling used Lotus cars and have Lotus-trained technicians for servicing current and previous models. It looks like they had one of the touring demo Emiras for a few days last week, plus the Type 66. They signed up with Lotus in August and had done a "soft launch" in early September, so already had about 40 Emira deposit holders before the demo car arrived...
