So Emira's manual transmission has been referenced on this forum as coming from Toyota. Yet in "Harry's Garage" video, it is stated that the Manual Transmission is built or at least assembled by Lotus.

Can someone clear up my confusion on who manufactures the manual transmission for the Emira.

Thank you.

It’s a Toyota transmission that Toyota uses for diesel engines. Lotus swaps some internals, changing some of the ratios and adapting it for the mid-engine layout. So it’s a little of column A, a little of column B.

Correct. It's made by Aisin. Lotus also adds a performance clutch and lightweight flywheel (ACT I believe).

It's a compact 3-shaft manual transmission made for high torque transverse FWD applications. It's made by ASIN and has been used in numerous cars.

EA60 Gearbox and a similar unit was used in a Dodge Journey they called a BG6 lol. Made for diesel applications so it had higher torque capability but also sounds like a truck trans at low speed. Cannot shift the transmission like a Honda (powershifting ect) but the overall shift feel is enjoyable just not really meant for a sports car.
