It's no secret that Lotus customer service is a bit variable (both from dealers and Lotus directly).
As such, which are the good dealers to approach when you have warranty issues? For the sake of getting issues resolved efficiently I will quite happily travel to the other side of the country and stay in a Hotel over night for good customer service than deal with the stress and hassle of poor service.

I've heard very good things about Bell & Colvill. Can anyone suggest any other dealers that are well regarded?

100% Bell & Colvill in Guildford! It's worth noting we changed over to here from Lotus in Ashford..
Both Peter Wan & Phil Marking are exceptional and have helped fight my corner on numerous occasions - It is Lotus themselves that delay the process...

B&C even offer there own extended warranty once the 3 year manufactures one ends, which on paper, looks far better than others.

I use Central Motors in Nottingham. Whilst no longer a Lotus dealer they are still official for service, warranty etc. Can’t fault them tbh. Even a great help checking out the car for me before I bought it privately. And, at that point, they’d never met me before apart from the test drive 12 months before!

A vote for Lotus Silverstone from me.

It’s a good idea to list out the good ones, as if we listed out the bad one’s we’d be typing non stop!

I’ve been very happy with the service from Rybrook Bristol who are also Lamborghini, McLaren and Maserati agents. Their Main Lotus Tech, Nick, is very knowledgable and happy to tell you exactly what he has done / found on your car. I’ve had a couple of warranty fixes, seat trim and fix a trim noise plus 2 services and all the various software updates.

I think I will be taking my Emira to RMS in Romford for anything that doesn't need a dealer stamp in the log book. They are not an official dealer but Lotus specialists.

Never had a problem with Lotus Solihull.
Silverstone on the other hand....
Now I have the opposing experience here: I have been pleased with Silverstone but I had a bad experience with Solihull. I felt unwelcome in the dealership. My guess is it's because I am young and very different to the usual clients of the marques there (McLaren, Rolls, Lotus). Decided to go with Silverstone for servicing and aftersales.

+1 to Bell & Colvill too. They entertained my endless email questions when I was looking to buy a car where they could have not replied.

I've been pleased with my experience so far with Silverstone (now known as Woodcote & Copse).👍

Lotus Norwich (Stratton Motor Company) are still great - Used sales and service only though - they didn't shell out to be a new car dealer when the world changed back and forth with the centralised ordering from the factory only and back again and huge payments were asked for to update showrooms etc. They still maintain a good (and local) relationship with Hethel, and their new Service Manager is no other then Neil Turner!
