Vivid Red vs. Magma Red

Magma Red all the way, the colour is deep and not too “look at me I’m a Ferrari!”.

My car gets ridiculous amounts of attention and I’d much rather have the metallic finish any day.

I would probably go with Vivid Red only because my first car was a similar color and it is a bit nostalgic to me. I wouldn't be upset with Magma, but to each their own!

Vivid red it is for me... with silver wheels, because I'm not a fan of the black ones everybody seems to get.

Vivid red with bronze wheels will be dead sexy. But then again I grew up in the 80s so may have a skewed sense of cool.

What this doesn't convey is just how highlighter bright the color is. Cameras mute it because they can't handle it.

Yes. It is brighter in person, the pictures on my phone are in HDR and do a better job at showing the true color. The moment I upload them they get converted and the “pop” is no longer there.

I've ordered a Vivid Red, due Dec 2024. I like the Emira in the brighter colours. The metallic was a bit darker.

Hi. I order my Lotus Emira vivid red, i tried to see the color in the USA that i was visiting, but I couldn’t, they send me this video today, the color it’s flat but there’s an option, you could put a metallic PPF. I think I’ll do that.

As usual; no correct answer to this color debate. It's all a matter of personal preference and the Emira looks good in any color, given its lines/shape. So if getting an Emira, "you do you" and buy whatever you want and it'll be THE right color, for you. That said, I saw the 2025 Deep Green color Emira for the first time this past w/e. I may have chosen it over my Vivid Red, if it had been available in 2024. But again, that's just my preference.

Personally I think magma looks worse in person than in pics and vivid looks better in-person than in pics.

We worried about the “Ferrari” comments when we ordered our Vivid, but it hasn’t been a problem…

To be honest, we’ve gotten as many of those comments driving silver Porsches as we have in the red Emira. Gen pop doesn’t know any better…
