US Lotus portal updated with 2026 models, Raceline is now available

Would love to know what the raceline adds specifically.

$130k for an Emira is absurd.
I agree that $130k is a lot, but what else can you purchase NEW for anywhere near that money that is as beautiful and engaging?

I had an Emira on order prior to locating one that fit most of my criteria, and I thought long and hard about this exact question. The only other NEW cars that interested me were the Porsche 718 GTS 4.0, which is extremely limited availability due to the upcoming discontinuation, and the 911 Carrera T, which is nearly impossible to get allocation for. Both of these cost more (often significantly more) than an Emira, yet they feel much more generic to me. Their styling is quite conservative and dated, and all of their controls feel isolated. They do drive well, but severely lack any special feel of occasion that is always present in the Lotus.

Honestly, if I could not find a new Emira, I think I might have been hunting for a used one or a 2020+ Evora.

I just dont get the fascination with Porsche.
Design wise they strike me as quite dull, even boring. OK so some do drive nicely, their performance is good, but car ownership is about more than the physical and for me Porsche lacks that something else, that Lotus and especially the Emira has in spades.

Thought Toyota stopped shipping V6? How .Many are on the shelf??

Last shipment Q3 2025 and I think Lotus padded the order quite a bit so there should be enough for 2026 as they did say in the investor call a couple months ago and that V6 will probably not have a 2027 refresh like the i4.

I just inquired with my sales guy if there is a price sheet from Lotus yet on the 2026s. For 2025s the pricing list existed months before they put it on the configurator and I assume it must exist now if they are taking orders.

From Naples "base MSRP is now $112,900 for the V6 SE however it includes a lot more standard items and the options have come way down in pricing."

The UK tarrifs were signed weeks ago at 10 percent. They were 2.5 in the past.

The 15 percent you are referring to was the deal with the European Union.

So on a 100K car, the price will go up roughly 7.5K if all the costs are pushed onto the buyer.
They likely won't push

Good cars but far from perfect. I've owned two and while I enjoyed the experience, I think their pricing has reached absurd levels.

If you haven't seen it yet, here's the complete US price list for the 2026 Emira. I had placed an order for a 2025 Emira back in February, but it was subsequently canceled by Lotus due to the tariff issue. After recently seeing that the Lotus website had been updated, I provided a new configuration code to the Lotus sales rep that I've been dealing with. She told me today that they submitted it twice to Lotus "but it didn't go through" so she assumes that Lotus isn't accepting MY2026 orders yet. I thought I had read that Lotus had begun accepting orders again. Has anyone else in the US tried ordering a 2026 Emira?

Pricing is now incorporated into the Lotus configurator. The high $$ (7,800) colors aren't included.
Loading up the car without high $$ color; comes in around
Total Price (incl. Accessories)
$123,700.00

That's without destination fee and tariffs. US delivery price without sales tax may approach $140k

All of us who got in early and waited years for delivery; made a good decision.
Plus we received the welcome/thank you kit :)

I was thinking that maybe I did the right thing by cancelling my order so I could avoid the early hiccups that you all endured. Maybe I was wrong though because the price has skyrocketed!

$7800 for a paint is getting crazy, especially when Lotus is not known for great paint quality.

The Verde Ithaca paint on my Evora GT was an $8100 option! It's excellent quality though. 3 stage paint job and they actually used Lambo paint.

I am curious to see if the Emira paint has gotten any better. Many detailers reported it being extra soft and I'm hoping it was due to them rushing to fill orders after all the initial delivery delays. Lets hope their process and QC improves for these new colors.

Name me an alternative new car for under $300K. I'm planning on trading my V6 in for another before production ends (be it 2026 or 2027) and I'll trade my i4 in for a new one after the 2027 refresh.
Aston Martin vantage blows away the Emira and doesn't cost $300k.
I mean if we are talking raw performance the C8 Corvette kills the emira.

So..
Vantage (amazing performer)
new Vantage S (even better)
C8 (Gross...but fast)
Really depends on your definition of "Alternative new car" but if your budget is $300k you have a TON of better options.

I mean even the Evora is better in some regards.

On the flip side, show me a $130k sports car with an engine made in 2000. Only the Emira.

if you really dig into what the Emira actually comes with for the sticker price it makes way more sense if this car is like $70k. The fact Lotus is charging nearly 8000 bucks for paint.. they are nickel and diming the hell out of their small customer base...and way too many Emiras have paint issues for Lotus to even have the balls to ask for such money for paint.
