Type 132 Event 29th of March I guess its the reveal.

Hopefully, that means they "reveal" some photos, pricing, and other information about the Emira before then. Ideally, we get some of this information before the Top Gear review!

Only 1 week to go and then production of the Emira starts 😊 then hopefully not long after that all the information we require 🙏🏻

Anyone else find it interesting that the promo pic in the email has paddles on the steering wheel?

Does anyone know of a type 132 forum as I heard it mentioned but can't seem to find it?

The 'Lotus is Dead' thread in this forum involves a video report which in its last 5 minutes teases the Type 132 reveal.
May be of interest

There's a lot of discussion and contribution from knowledgeable people in the Type 132 forum on TheLotusForums, plus similar sub-forums for Types 133, 134 and 135.

Hey all have had confirmation from a solid HO source, that the type 132 will start at 100,000 pounds. It will have 3 model designations, with the top of the range @ 2.8 seconds 0 to 100kms claim.

Description of the looks is a Lamborghini urus dialled to 11, with the interior being something truly special.

The car is that pioneering, Lotus have patented 9 never seen features on a car/suv.

How many will be made?

Like mass production or typical Lotus very few?

They’re going mass market. The new Lotus EV factory in China can produce 100,000 cars per year once at full capacity and with the 3 future models to be built there. The EV sportscar will be built at Hethel.

Absolutely, it will come in 3 models with differing power outputs. The top dog is said to have a 1000hp, with active aero as well as 3 air ducts. Which throw through you see on the Evija hyper car…

1 - at the front lower bar which we have seen in an hexagon shape.

2 - at the lower back apron.

3 - high on the b pillar above the rear quarter windows.

29th of March reveals all and production will start in Q1 2023.

I think it’s two power variants of Type 132. Then Type 133 and 134 (saloon and small SUV) to follow and be built in China. Type 135, the electric sportscar joint venture with Alpine, will be built at Hethel.

100,000 pounds is about $132,000 U.S. I hope they get the pricing down below the $100,000 mark for some of their new electric cars, or they won't be selling 100,000 of them.

They will have a second smaller SUV that will be the size of the Porsche Macan. That will be their volume seller and I’ve been advised they are targeting a price as low as 59,000 pounds.

(y) Absolutely intrigued to see what those innovations are, and that interior.

I'm surprised more manufacturers have not done something more radical with the car interior, it feels like it is overdue a step-change in design, materials and overall concept.

£100,000 plus options will price many out of the market, Lotus are not in a position to pinch a decent share of the market in this particular sector this early as still building the brand. If it's sensibly priced and the looks of the car are as good as we keep hearing they could be on to another winner.

Just looked at pics on the Lotus.com page about the 132. Did anyone else notice there are shifter paddles on the steering wheel? What in the world are those for on an EV with no gears???

It’s to adjust the level of regen on the braking, common on EVs

Seems like a silly thing to put on both sides of the steering wheel. It's something you would rarely ever adjust in my opinion. On my Tesla it's within a menu, and I've never touched it.
