Track recording accessories question

I'm interested in getting a budget low-tech setup to record track sessions using my iPhone. At a minimum I think I need an iPhone App, iPhone windshield mount, OBD bluetooth and a GPS unit.

Leading options:
App > RaceChrono Pro $20
OBD > OBDLinkMX $110
GPS > Dual XGPS160 $110
Mount > ?

Any thoughts from veterans out there? For the mount, is MagSafe and suction mount good enough for track duty? I'm thinking of mounting either on rear inside windshield to capture cockpit view OR front windshield for unobstructed view.

At first I was going to link this to an external dash cam and just decided it's not worth the trouble for me. I just want something basic and the apps like RaceChrono or Harry's Lap Timer have video built in.

I saw many people use a Lapole camera mount. I tried mounting to the inside windshield with a suction cup mount, but the view is a bit too far. You might be able to get around it by adjusting the lens.
