Software update ruined track mode?

Hi guys, I’m sure I am not imagining this but I think the software update that I had done on my v6 auto yesterday has ruined track mode.

I noticed driving yesterday that the gear shifts are so early that it now feels like driving in sport mode. Unless I floor the accelerator it changes up from first to second at around 20kph!

I also noticed the fuel consumption is identical in track vs sport. Has anyone else experienced this? I drive around 80% of the time in track mode as I enjoy the sound and the acceleration but I feel really depressed by this update!

I have a V6 auto and mostly use Sport mode, but once I get my Emira back from service (I'm not sure how long that'll take) I'll do some testing see if I have the same issue.

Just confirming I got an ECU update today after tripping the reduced performance error twice. Can confirm that track mode no longer functions like it did before; it's essentially the exact same as sport mode. Switching between tour, sport, and track no longer increases idle RPMs. The track mode switches gears way faster now and also doesn't let me get close to red line (does an upshift about 750 RPMs away). Not sure what's going on here but not happy about it since I told them to not do any software updates.

Anyone else have this issue? Any chance on a rollback?

I was told it isn’t possible to roll back 😔

These were the updates I got in case someone runs across this thread in the future… might be one of the ones people have been avoiding as of recent. Anyone have any of the notes on what they are?

131-25009 VDDM SOFTWARE UPDATE
131-25001 CEM SOFTWARE UPDATE

Does this update effect track mode on the v6 manual also? I’m always driving in track mode and wouldn’t want to change it.

I got 6 updates today and can confirm that track mode sucks now. Noticeably worse and I am not happy. I had planned to keep the car at least through 2027 but am reconsidering and pulling the trigger on a gently used 720S instead. This really sucks

Which variant?

Which variant?
There are no variants. Just convertible and not convertible. All same suspension etc. just aesthetic shit and roll bar option for coupe.

I’d suggest trying 600lt, 675lt or 765lt.

You’ll be disappointed but 720s. It’s a 911 turbo s instead of a gt2 / 3rs

The 720s is the same as a 911 turbo???

I don't have an Auto, but this is a serious issue that needs to be corrected. Just like they released this update, they can do another to correct.
