So not all front splitters are truly functional...

To be honest, China's economy and its business owners do not rely on oversea markets as much as a lot of westerners believe they do. For instance, there are so many good quality aftermarket brands for brake calipers, suspension components, cooling components, CF stuff and etc that they focus solely on domestic market. You usually do not see these products on the western markets because they are more expensive for their better quality and your local importers rather getting cheaper products for higher profit. Kinda like JDM back in the day where you need to go to Japan for the good stuff.

Sure, I get that. The amount of domestic consumption in China is formidable. I guess I'm just a little surprised that they can completely bypass western-style internet presence and pretty much thrive within the Chinese app and social media space. It really is like an entirely separate information "biosphere" onto itself. Even Facebook and X posts "leak" out. But not the Chinese ones.

@675430VME sorry to go off topic but who makes the best upgraded intercooler radiators and reservoir upgrade?
Probably SnowTech, my tuner Boomgear has been using it for more than 6 months in a few hundreds hot laps with good result. He is bringing his car with the Snowtech setup to Nurburgring for further testing.

make sure he has onboard footage for us to watch!

@675430VME is there a website where I can check those aero parts?
You can look ar forza performance.. they have various body kits on display.. but do NOT oder anything from them as they increase the price at least 2fold because they operate as a middle man because they speak english and have a google searcheable website. What ever you like there.. ask @675430VME to help you out if possible. Otherwise travel to China :)

@Eagle7 @kitkat

We ordered 2 with a friend and got a good deal (1000usd pp plus shipping 100usd pp).

The quality is really good and the light works really well. I have installed it as the video above my friend has connected to the fog light and will only come on when you sw the fog light. I have weight the original at 6kg with the metal bar attached and the CF comes around 3 without the bar attached.

Great firewall + stiff language barrier = better insulation (if I had to guess)

It's not as straight as what the western media tells you, I am here on this forum ain't I? Sure you can't access Google or YouTube in China's network because Google refused to comply with China's regulation such as setting up local servers for data storage but other western companies such as Apple and Tesla they have no problem. Most of the educated ones know how to use VPN for accessing the prohibited websites and it's not like we would get into any real trouble. The hard truth is most of these high quality tuner shops have no interest in oversea markets because their capacities are limited and usually your local importers are not willing to pay extra for better quality products because they just want to maximize their profits. This reminds me the JDM period when I was young in the state and need to go to Japan for the good stuff.

That’s cool and I’m sure reality is as you’ve described. Nevertheless, for profit businesses typically seek to maximize profits. If there are superior offerings in China, with addressable international markets, one would expect capex to expand capacity to reach those profits/markets. Or maybe I’m missing something which changes the application of classical supply/demand mechanics here

That's just my observation, and also what these tuners told me. I guess the fact President Trump did on tariff doesn't help neither, shipping company like UPS and Fedex require Chinese shippers to pay advance deposit for the tariff in case importers decide to ditch the shipment, so many exporters dun even want to bother. I helped ship 2 sets of rear diffusors to a fellow member here in Dubai last month successfully but couldn't get a shipper to ship the same thing to the states.

The environment to ship anything to the US is difficult currently. I’m even afraid that the downpipe and intercooler I’m bringing back will be subjected to the 25% car parts tariff when I land and go through customs which imo is bs since these are for personal use but I just can’t find anything that would clarify the new rules.
