Should the P2CEF failed thermostat/sand in cooling be a recall issue?

I’m just concerned that this will result in long term issues or future engine replacement. Should Lotus buyback vehicles with this issue?

We are covered by Lemon Law in US.

Has it been officially confirmed by Lotus that a group of us have sand in the coolant system? Could it just be a bad batch of Thermostats?

It’s at least four on this forum alone maybe more. I absolutely love the car. I just want to know this can be resolved and not a reoccurring issue or a complete engine replacement.
