This was fun. I'm not even sure why I started this but once I got rolling it was hard to stop. Sometimes Photoshop is therapeutic. Every now and then I dive in to sharpen my skills and this time around, I wanted to try some mixed media stuff with the new AI imaging tools like Midjourney and Dall-e.

I ended up revising Magma and Nimbus a bit after posting in the color threads. I got better at these as I went, and also started taking them a little more seriously. By the time I got to Seneca, Magma and Nimbus started looking pretty janky.

Magma is the only one made by just stacking a bunch of photos on top of each other. The rest have AI (Midjourney) creating the backgrounds based on my text prompts, and then I'm stacking photos and effects from there.

Anyway, I'm not selling these. A very sincere thank you to those who expressed interest, but the source photos I used are not mine, I don't have a commercial use license and in most cases I have no idea who the original artist was to credit them properly. This is simply fan art, a remix of other great songs by great artists.

I also have no plans to make these high enough quality for print, because the images I'm using were web resolution and wouldn't upscale cleanly to a production size.

With all of that said, I had a lot of fun doing these. I have more in me, I think. If Lotus is scanning and wants to commission me, I could make something official ;)

Otherwise, if anyone here really likes this work, I'd be happy to discuss commissions where I'd make a poster of YOUR car in some epic scenario that we could discuss. You could give me some images of reasonable quality of your car and I can do something with them. Just a thought, I enjoy this stuff.

Anyway I hope you guys liked these. I definitely learned a lot about the AI tools so it's a win for me either way!

Seeing them all together, they’re really impressive. Great work!

I’ll be in touch about a commission idea.

Great work, Lotus should hire you. But will probably send you a cease and desist order!

These are really really well done, both physically and artistically. This series should be hanging on the wall of dealer showrooms, even the front showroom at Hethel. I would love to have an 18" x 24" of the Dark Verdant one, framed and hanging on the wall in my office.

What size is the original? Even if it's not high resolution, a smaller one might still be worth printing and putting in a frame. I can see this on an 11" x 17" sheet with a white border around it in a frame.

I've taken the liberty to make a slight adjustment to the DV one. I noticed the focal center was shifted to the right slightly, so I made a quickie mod to show what my eye wants to see. The poster is slightly narrower. I didn't change the car or the Lotus logo underneath, I simply trimmed off a bit of the left side, and moved the DARK VERDANT over to the right so the AR in Dark is centered above the D in Verdant, and the D is centered over the Lotus logo down below. This is to give you the idea, you'd have to do this (if you care to) on the original because what I did messed up the alignment of the tree branches in the background of the lettering.

Really inspired work here. Great job!

Amazing work! You nailed the scenario to the colors so well!

I’m always amazed by some of the talent on this forum (well, except Leonard and Emiraspain - I think they are just professional posters!).

You're 100% right lol. Thank you for that, and for all of the kind words. I've replaced the image in the original post (above) with one that's centered.

I've also fixed Seneca, which needed a similar treatment.

These are great peices of art and historically accurate aswell, with B24 Liberators, which flew from Hethel during WW2, in the background of the Hethel yellow poster.

@GetawayDriving would you be willing to share the full size image so we could print them ourselves? The DV (thanks @Eagle7 for tweaking it) and the Nimbus are killer and I'd love to hang them.

As Eagle said I don't know if it's possible to get them big enough to print but it would be fun to try.

Cheers and thanks for the great images!

Most excellent. I would love to have a Magma with the Shadow background though

I can probably get one or another printed and stretched on canvas, let me know if someone wants one. I should be able to ship to DE, AT, CH, FR, NL, BE, and GB if we're lucky, will have to check with logistics if we still ship there
