One explanation for lower US and non-UK reported issues is that Lotus wasn't able to begin US deliveries until March 2024 because of lengthy delays due to emissions testing and certification. Thus, 24MYs are the earliest US cars, 3 years after introduction.
I speculated on numerous possible causes other than paint prep in my last post above. One of them is a potential problem with the chemical formulation, and/or curing process of the panels themselves. If that were the problem, unpainted panels could conceivably "bubble, much like rust on steel panels. It's sounding quite possible that it has nothing to do with the paint process at all.
If the mixture of ingredients and/or the process for molding the panels varies at all from batch to batch, that could explain why some panels bubble and some don't.
We're all just speculating here.
