New Jayemm Emira video

I just listened to it while walking my dog in the 90 degree (at 9:00 AM) heat.

I've been a Lotus fan for 60 years (at age 10), and have owned three, starting with an Elan Sprint in the 1980's.

Sorry to say I agree with almost every word.

My suspicion is that the core problem is that Lotus convinced Geely that if they only had a gorgeous updated Evora design and a modernized factory, everything else (PR, customer relations, dealer relations, quality control, availability of service parts, etc.) would somehow magically take care of itself, despite the company having no personnel to do those things or even the slightest desire to make them happen.

As one huge example, Lotus doesn't deserve an "F" for their incompetent and self-destructive communication failure (from day one, and continuing to today), they deserve a zero.

And yet we still love their cars :)

Mine's been great. Have had it now for just over a year, no issues.
Same. Bunch of hyperbole in here, and Lotus is an easy target with plenty of issues. I think we all know more refined/reliable cars exist. Few offer the same thrill and excitement though, so I guess your risk tolerance (and luck) will determine your experience.

I was new to the Lotus brand when I got my Emira, coming from years of Porsches, BMW M-cars etc. My Lotus dealer treated me better than any of the others so my personal experience is vastly different.

I've had my Emira V6 for close to 2 years now. Use it almost daily and it is significantly modded. Only faced minor niggles that have been promptly resolved by the dealer.
A year ago I also got an Eletre R that my wife uses. It has been flawless.
