Thanks, think we are going out tomorrow - Alabama plays today, so... Did you register, or are you just cruising out to look? The online registration is closed..

Just went out to spectate. Still on a quest to get to 1000 miles the Emira .... We pulled in then left, way to many cars kicking up huge clouds of dirt and bit to rough for the Lotus. I should have brought an SUV.

Just had the one-year service at Lotus of DC, which was completed properly as well as I can tell. Miguel is very helpful but is running a one man Lotus service department. Not sure how he could cope with a serious repair issue. I am still looking for an experienced independent shop in DC/Baltimore area. Any suggestions?

Thanks, I will check it out.

It has been difficult to schedule service with Lotus of DC. I wanted to have the engine oil, differential oil changed, brake fluids to be flushed, brake pads changed and an alignment performed. I was told that I will have to leave the car with them 3 to 5 days. Not willing to leave the car for so long with them, I changed the brake pads myself, and took the car to Rosso Service for some of the work.

Ross is hike for me, 81 miles. It was a pleasant drive and was worth it frankly. They did the engine oil change and brake fluid flush under two hours. The facility is really nice, one of the cleanest shops I have been to in a long time. They had three lotuses in the shop, two Esprits and another model I am not familiar with (red one in the pictures). The rest of the cars were mostly Ferraris and Astons. Their prices reflect their customer base too, but I did not paying for it. I will use them in the future for sure, although Lotus of DC is only 10 mi. from me.

That's a Lotus Elan (original model from the '60s) I think - they look weird with the headlights out which is perhaps why you didn't recognise it.
