I’ve just bought a Zeekr 9X. It has basically the same hybrid system, but in a BIG 3 row SUV. I’m personally pretty impressed with the hybrid system, even if the electric range is not that great. Range anxiety isn’t a thing when the gas in your tank will bring you another 500 plus miles after the battery is depleted.
How do you like the 9X? I have heard good things and might be interested when they have the 5 seaters available.
I’m really loving the 9X. Really big, really comfortable, really powerful (like 950hp) I like the looks and it drives well. It’s no sports car, it’s soft, but that’s what I wanted. The 6 seat is great, a 5 seat doesn’t make sense on this car IMO. It’s basically a big MPV interior, but in a big SUV body.
The hybrid system works great, and I could imagine it would be really good in a smaller/lighter car. It’s such a big and blocky car, so the electric range isn’t great on the highway, with a 70kwhr battery, but then you have I think a 60l fuel tank, so you never need to worry about charging. I couldn’t even tell when the engine kicked in to charge the battery on the highway. I’m sure these systems will be well received when they hit the Western countries.
