Emira on order
I was pretty blown away with how similar this interior is to the Emira... Let me know how many items the exact same. Other video's show how the infotainment works... Looks decent. I found the drive mode select, start button, volume control screen operating system and color scheme, climate vents are almost identical. Steering wheel controls and memory seat buttons.

Quite a few parts from the Geely bin, but that's overall a good thing. In this video alone, the steering wheel, start button, probably the instrument cluster, probably the key, etc.

Yea, this is a Good Thing.

Looks like the infotainment is google based. That is a bonus. I am sure that having Link & Co test out the product before Lotus is probably a better than not situation.

When Audi joined hands with VW, the same thing happend to Audi cars. LOL

Same headlight internals as well?

I recall someone here saying that the Emira LED headlights were designed by a US specialist headlight manufacturer.. Does anyone have any more details on this?

I suppose this kind of info is confidential.

There are only a handful of headlight manufacturers so it’s likely you’ll see some similarities. The Evora headlights came from the same supplier as used by Aston Martin.

Car trivia: the McLaren F1 uses the same front indicator lenses as the Esprit (and M100 Elan).

To add to that the McLaren F1 also uses 'my' Corrado wing mirrors :D
Wonder what the replacement cost direct from MacLaren is LOL

Both Mercedes Benz and Tesla share the same Bosch manufactured wiper/indicator stalk, P-N-D shifter stalk, steering wheel adjustment, window switches and mirror adjustment switches (with some slight variation).

Point is that lots of manufacturers use the very same suppliers and parts. Cross-brand parts sharing is more widespread than we might think.

Pretty similar to the smart phone industry. ;)

Lynk & Co part bins raid is definitively a good thing….
I Totally Trust electronics from an exclusively EV brand and that’s how to keep Emira MRSP below £60k!

Parts bin finds are regularly seen across various cars it's even more likely these days and probably a good thing for the infotainment. Keeps down RnD costs and improves reliability when mass market cars use similar.

The Jaguar XJ220 has wing mirrors from the Citroën CX.

It's been happening for years.
