LOTUS EMIRA ─ ECU Tuning options

Yes, 460bhp isn't a massive number but it definitely blew my V6 trans apart and Emira owners deserve to know that it can and sometimes does happen. I was running a TVS1900 chargecooled supercharger, MOTEC ecu and other associated hardware to mitigate the extra stresses of track day driving and to keep everything "safe". I liaised with Komo-tec extensively when tuning the car and they warned me that my gearbox would likely let go beyond 450bhp and 440Nm - not if, but when.
They sell an uprated gearset, JUBU sell their own too and state in their blurb: "The manual Lotus OEM gearbox hits its limits at about 450hp of power output."
During my ownership of 3 exiges I was a member of SELOC, Exiges.com and Lotustalk. Do your own research, I wasn't the only V6 owner with a destroyed gearbox. We aren't talking large numbers of owners, just a percentage of those that ventured north of 450bhp/440Nm.
Word for the wise, don't believe a word from the keyboard warriors on the forums, if I was an Emira owner looking to tune my V6 I'd speak to Komo-Tec and/or Jubu about their experiences of failures during testing/tuning.
Don't even get me started on the costs to get the V6 engine to consistently and reliably perform beyond 450bhp......this engine and trans are not a great starting point if you like tuning
Is this also a concern for the automatic transmission?
