For the meetup they like drivers to arrive at 730 for the 800 meeting. Its about an hour from that station via the 14. If we leave there at like 6:15 we will have time to grab gas at a station by the track. Also I hear theres no more entry fee at Willow. Anyone been there recently to confirm?

Date: Sunday, September 6th (Labor Day Weekend)
Time: 10:00 AM (Meet in Parking lot by all the Lotus Cars)
Place: K1 Speed Culver City, 3960 Landmark St, Culver City, CA 90232

We haven’t done one of these in a while and the newest K1 venue with elevation change just forced the issue. So, join us at the next LCOSC K1 Karting event (self-funded) in Culver City and tap into your inner Verstappen to see who ends up on the podium.

Oh, and unlike past years, Devin D. is no longer banned from prize eligibility given there’s no FREE track day in play this year. Also, unlike our normal track day safety lecture, our kart day track limits are optional, track off excuses are plentiful, and everyone can finally make a play for the gap and not have to worry about towing their car home.

Lastly, podium finishers get the ultimate reward, a serious round of bragging rights PLUS a round of beers/drinks on us! Afterwards, not before!

I want to thank everyone that came out. As always, I think most will agree it turned out to be a successful all you can eat event given the last couple of sessions had a handful of cars out at most.

With that said, I and the club do want to apologize for the "missing Flagger crew" mishap that cost us the first 20 minute session. Please know we take every step to account for any third-parties involved but we just seem to have bad luck with this part. Please know we will be working with Buttonwillow's management for the next Dec. outing to ensure we use their preferred flagger crew to eliminate anymore drama with the flagger people not showing up on time.

Great event! Solid turn out, perfect weather and plenty of driving time.

Would you guys consider chuckwalla?

We've done it in the past and want to do it again but the last few years they have insisted on the whole weekend rental or we get single days in June, July, August when it's 110+ degrees (not kidding). We certainly will try but wanted to provide that context. If anyone has influence with CW's management, please DM me. again, we'd love to do it if we can get a single Sat. or Sun.

Few of us are doing a super late notice casual meetup at Sidecar in Pasadena on Saturday, October 31 at 7:30am (in two days). Grab some delicious doughnuts and coffee and chill. There is no official drive planned but Angeles Crest is like 10 minutes from this location and at least I am planning to drive up after. Weather shows cloudy but no rain till later Sat evening.
