Hello.

Can anyone tell me if the JUBU Carbon engine lid (louvre) is safe regarding water getting into the engine bay. For example when the car is in the rain or if you wash your car.

Web link:

The top louvre sticks out over the bottom ones slightly, but it still won’t prevent water from splashing into engine bay. I opened the trunk after it rained and water splashed everywhere. You have to drill bigger holes to let water drain on either side and middle under trunk plastic to let that water drain.
But if you install the JB4, your supercharger will get hotter, so you need this mod and remove the windshield, if you truly want to track the car. My car was driven under 4k and I couldn’t believe how hot the air was coming out of louvres. And it looks sexier also.
You can see photos of my car and also see the visibility from the rear view mirror.

@Tracked Emira do you have any pictures of those holes you made under trunk plastic?
Car is at the garage now waiting on new Milltek harness since the old one got melted tracking and a new one will be heat wrapped.
The factory has holes with grommets, but they need to be enlarged and left open under the back of the trunk lid because water doesn’t drain easily because the holes are to small.
Drill one more in the back edge in the middle also so the water leaks into the drain holes around the top or trunk base.
