Im going to order the one Greg sells, it;s a whole new unit with some useful functions. The adapter one just takes the stock one and makes it external vent. I'll see how they differ if any

The GFB one that Greg sells will be a lot louder.

That's the one I want, but there were concerns that it might trigger a CEL. So, I'm waiting for an actual data point (i.e., someone to run it for a few weeks), before ordering.

I have a Turbosmart BOV installed for more than 6 months, no CEL.

I’ve got a BOV, Aerie ti exhaust and Aerie Sports Cat on a 400hp I4. No CEL since I had the exhaust valve recalibrated.

Just wanted to put some numbers in here - On my draggy I got 0-60 in 3.88 verified and 1/4 mile in 11.88.

This was with 2 people in the car and the gearbox wasn't playing ball so I will re test this week and give some better times.

That would be great if you could. Would also be interesting to see what the standard times are like with the box off, for comparison.

Best I've gotten is 0-60 3.4 TDI Box When i turn the box off I don't see much difference actually. I am in the mid 3's with it turned off or on

I managed to get 3.53 last night but it seems the gearbox doesn't link up well with the TDI box and redlines in Auto. In manual its better but you have to guess when to shift before due to a slight lag. The car would defo benefit from a gearbox tune. 1/4 mile was 11.57

My thoughts are that with an actual ecu tune and tcu tune the car would be an animal putting up super car numbers. My guess would be that the car would be able to get very low 3s 0-60 and an under 11 sec 1/4 mile. Would be very keen to see other peoples best times.

I must say I did over 20 runs as the car kept losing grip off the launch so on a dedicated surface it could do much better.

My 400hp I4 felt quicker after I did a Ti exhaust and sports car, but it’s like the gearbox now let’s the car hit the rev limiter in Auto when you have more power. I imagine this phenomenon is only worse with the tune.

Well here comes the first stupid question.....even though 0-60 times were similar box vs no box, did the torque come in a bit harder or earlier?

Yeah for sure - we just need some custom tuning available and these cars will be rocket ships.

Can't say I can really tell. I'm a bit jaded though coming from my Turbo Elise. It was a huge difference compared to maybe a 50hp difference claimed in the TDI. Wondering if i should just pay to have it dyno'd
