Does anyone know for sure if there are differences in the US vs Euro/rest of world I4 exhausts with respect to gpf? The US cars seem to have just one large cat which may or may not contain a GPF but can be replaced with a high flow sports cat without triggering lights. I wonder if this is the same for Euro/ROW cars or if there is a separate GPF which is independently monitored there..TIA

I'm almost certain it's the same. It's the same giant looking canister in both Euro and US i4 cars per all of the exhaust swap posts people have shown. Also, just from a practical sense, I have to believe Lotus went with a 1 size fits all for all markets just from a cost perspective. If you have yours out, you can do a pic comparison from all the pics out there.

This picture was sent from Mach5 when they asked me if US i4 models had an GPF/OPF. They said US does have GPF/OPF, #4 highlighted in the picture.

And does anyone know if the downpipe sports cat from Aerie or Mach5 are validated for Europe regulations? Is the gpf a single piece with the downpipe? I know these questions might be technically wrong, I’ve still got a long way to go, bare with me 🙏🏻

It's almost certainly not validated for emissions purposes. But if the whole GPF + cat complex is monitored together then it may be some high flow sport cats in place of both GPF and OEM cats will suffice not to trigger any warning lights and pass generic emission tests.
In the UK at least, we are not assessed on particulate emissions so it will pass an annual test with sports cats I'm just not sure if it will trigger warning lights
