How to delete "service notice" in display?

Does the RESET button on the stalk in the Lotus Emira have any function other than service reset? Mine doesn’t seem to do anything else.
According to the manual it also resets the trip meter if you have it selected on the main screen.

I haven't discovered any other functionality for it so far and the driver's manual mentions no purpose other than re-setting the servicing cycle.

Resets the taco too

After some frustration I finally got around to getting rid of this message and can confirm what others have said worked for them. The manual is misleading I think. Here is what I used:

Unlock car and get in. Short tap the start button once. (Do not hold down the start button to put the car into a different mode!)

Hold the reset button on the stalk, clutch in and start the car while continuing to hold the reset button for 10 seconds.

Once the yellow triangle starts to flash, release the reset button and voila.

Yeah,I noticed this reset button on the end of the stalk also.
I was hoping it was a reset to 1980s ease of use driving experience, instead of all this 21st century high tech rubbish they fit in new cars these days.
