Scott says they are going to offer PPF for factory collection. They’ve just found a local supplier who can handle the volume, so it will be done by a specialist rather than in-house by Lotus.

Dealer and home delivery people wil have to make own arrangements. Most dealers have a local specialist they use.
I wonder what the additional cost will be

I was here at 7am so managed to get pics before it got too busy. On stand is Evija (silver), Eletre (silver), Emira (Nimbus), Emira GT4 (yellow/grey). Opposite in First Glance are two more Emiras (Magma, Hethel) and a Seneca one is coming later. There’s another Eletre (yellow) in Electric Avenue. No Dark Verdant or Shadow Grey sadly.

I’ve sat in all the Emiras, had a good look around inside and out and had long chats with Lotus folks.

Customer Care are here and can give a rough indication of your revised delivery date based on latest supply chain info.

Dealer demo cars are due late July. They might get a handful of customer cars delivered in July but most of the previous June batch are into Aug. Mine (#20 deposit) is delayed +6 weeks from June into August. Some cars are delayed a bit less, some a bit more. Autos are delayed “a lot” but they can’t say by how much yet.
Those wheels on the ELETRE are pretty sick from this angle.

Hi Tom

Any chance you can make a video please filmed in 4k of a walk around the stand and of all the different Emira's and stick on Youtube please, be great to see.

Nice to see Lotus get a few different colours on display, the Nimbus looks stunning as does red/yellow, they missed a trick though not having a Dark Verdant there.

What a shame :(. It would seem we have gone from a best case delay of 2 weeks and potentially still July delivery for those who were currently down for July delivery, to a best/medium case (manual of course *for the drivers haha) delay of about 6 weeks and auto, presumably to well over 2 months and maybe even 3?
Reading between the lines, hardly anyone on here (probably no one) will now get their car in July and in fact not too many will get their cars in August. If Tom no. 20 is getting his mid august (probably), then the rest of us who were July will be lucky to get ours in August at all, but I am hopeful, well loosely hopeful, well not very hopeful, actually without hope.

It would seem to me (what a bad way to start a paragraph, the same way as starting the first), even with CS there at the show, kindly giving revised dates to those who go to the show (I cant), that there are still no actual dates and the suppliers in question still cant guarantee anything with any certainty, not Lotus's fault of course.

I feel very sorry for lotus; what a shame with such a nice car, such a lot of interest, and now, such a lot of bad luck.
Undoubtedly the boss wont want to come out and say most people will see a further 2 month delay, but I think thats what needs to happen. Then if you get your car at 6 weeks or 5, well great... but at least he is preparing us. This would be better than another vague email, with approximate hopeful dates that will get pushed back again.
Many with August plans, like myself, have to now change them. I will technically be leaving the country without having received my car at all, but well, thats life.... there are many in worse situations than us privileged Emira customers, and I don't look forward to all the whining posts on here and rude cancellation notes, thinking its just Lotus doing this, ITS NOT, its world wide and not just for cars.
thanks for the update @TomE

if someone wants to ask for an update on my car, Im all willing to share private details, bank details, passport, previous wives, family history, back to the potato famine ....

It’s still a 2 week delay. Tom was saying in total when added to the previous 4 week delay it’s now 6. Ie 20th June became 18th July and is now 1st August.
+6 weeks from June into August.

Shame that the delay on Autos is much longer

Strange that a week or so ago they still told me I was on for a July delivery

aha.. ok and I certainly appreciate what you say, but still I felt I would get my car 3rd 4th week or July and now I dont feel as if I will get it until late august, based on him (no 20) getting his mid august and me being no. 120 possibly.

We shall seeeeeeee.....

This all gives Lotus plentyyyyy of time to adjust small things if they felt they needed to

you really cant trust CS, they are not at the factory and nearly as slow to find out things as we are. I would trust Tom and my common sense before any email or phone call with them, no disrespect intended.

I am sure lotus are doing everything they can to deliver what they promised, a great drivers car by the end of spring!!

Truth is like every other car manufacturer out there they are unable to do this. We all know why!

Unfortunately the way this has been communicated is a disgrace over promising and under delivering, this needs turning completely around.

I have 3 cars on order 1 manufacturer is promising me car at a time they can't deliver cos they haven't got the parts.
The other 2, one a very well known competitor to lotus!! And the other a British 4x4 manufacturer have both been completely honest and said every time I get a email from them which is every month by the way!!, that they have no clue when I will get my car and it will probably be into next year.

That's how it should be done.

A white GT4 Emira just did the hillclimb! Didn't catch who was driving (hope it was Gav) but a nice amount of smoke was made on take off. :)

I was watching too, looked like it might have been leaking around the rear left 😬

Nobody cares as long as they recieve HONEST feedback REGULARLY.
How I always run my CX teams, hard for anyone to complain that way.
