Imagine lotus using the 3 cyl G16E-GTS engine from the new corolla/yaris GR.

What a combination.

Maybe a year or two from now those might be a transplant done by a performance company.

I would get it

Why would you want the gr Corolla 3 cylinder it only makes 300 horsepower, your getting less performance than the Toyota V6 or the AMG i4.
Mate, if you're talkin three cylinder engines, I'd much prefer the 3-cylinder, 600hp engine from the Koenigsegg Gemara.
 
To be honest it doesn't sound that great and not sure it would be totally reliable in a mass produced state at anything above 350bhp
 
So the GR 3cyl modified is claimed to be reliable up to 450whp. Plus a light weight package. This why I believe a great combination.
I'd like to see 2 of them bolted together...

This would be hard or expensive to get as a crate motor.

Toyota engine would be easier to get and cheaper.

But the Koenigsegg 3cyl is awesome
