Looks like the storage space behind the seats is enough for a couple of small overnight bags.

Indeed it does, although a lot depends on how much the seats will slide forwars and tilt in order to get bags in and out, and not so easy if they are heavy!

I’m pretty sure the I4 comes with an 8 speed dct, not seven !! Sloppy journalism, unless they have a different spec for America which I very much doubt.

Mercedes makes a 7, 8, and 9 speed version so who knows what we will really get in the end.
