So, I just changed my oil at 950 miles n with car at 1010 miles and 3rd cat delete pipe n miltek valve ctrl installed, drove up the mountain, lake arrowhead. In so cal.... I did drive spirited....hitting redline a few times n hitting triple digits before corners, etc..

Any ways, the car suddenly shows the above message n the rpm gauge drops to 4k n I couldn't go any faster... the temp was 200 degrees n there was no other symptoms .... ambient temp was 101F ....

Went to the top of the month n stopped at a gas station n upon restart, still same issue, but since the car drove otherwise well , I went to the lake village and parked there and when I came back 3 hours later , the car started fine and RPM was allowed at full 6700... on the way down.... but the CEL was now on.... which I don't recall seeing on the way up ....I will read it tmrw n see what it says... if it's still On.....

What do you think guys ? Its like some limp mode or what ?!??

If this happens on a track day, it'd suck....

This car is fun but already too many "characters " ... 😆

I got this error message once, and it was on a hot day (mid 90s (F)) with slow traffic, so I attributed it to that.

It's weird because the coolant temp never went over 200 degrees, which is the usual temp I see when sitting in traffic, so it's not like the engine would've been hotter than usual.

Yah, it was over 100F but coolant was at 200F as normal....

Had the exact same issue happen to me last week, in Chicago traffic for well over an hour on super hot day. No CEL and everything cleared next time I drove the car. There are a number of people who have had this issue, some seem to be sensor related and others corelated to hot days:

Same here. 95F day, idling in a drive thru for about 10 minutes, got the 4K limit pulling out. 200F coolant temp. Stopped and restarted the car, all clear.

Are these V6 or i4 cars experiencing these issues? Or both?

Mine is a 2025 V6 Manual. I got the reduced engine power /4K ROM limit again tonite, along with a new error: "ESC service required". It was a relatively cool 80F night, and I'd only been driving for about 10 minutes mostly on the freeway. As before, I stopped, turned the car off and back on again, both errors cleared and didn't reoccur.
This has only happened twice (2,500 miles on my car), and both times just in the past two weeks since I've installed the Antigravity 60AHLithium battery. I drove for 30 miles in the mountains after the restart with no issues, and tested the battery when I got home. It tested great at 13.4 volts (normal is 13.2), but I'm giving it a little charge anyway. As with my '24 Porsche Cayenne that throws "phantom" faults, I'm wondering if Lotus' phantom faults are also due to voltage sensitivity?

"Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again?" Fixes 95% of computer problems, including rolling computers. :p

I’ve had this happen twice. Both times no CEL, and went away overnight.

I have a suspicion it’s related to battery, possibly bad ground connection.
